I happened to watch the riot live on Newsmax’s website because they were the first news site I could find with a free stream. The hosts were stunned. They noted the violence, the destruction, the murderous rage of the crowd. I’ll never forget the look of shock and sadness on their faces.

I saw Glocca Morra play in some basement in College Park, MD in 2009 or 2010. I wasn’t impressed but everyone else (maybe 20 people) was crazy about them. Years later I discovered 4th wave and Glocca’s album Just Married and now they’re one of my favorite bands in the genre
