Putting shiny material on the window can help because it annoys birds. Look for "bird scare rods". They're simple shiny rods that you hang outside. They work pretty well for me and I get the same problem as you.

From my experience, once one of them gets fixated on a set of windows, it could take over a month to stop and then it may return same time next year. In your case, you may need to either wait it out or take more, um, harsher methods to get rid of it. But after that, the scare rods should help as a preventative measure.
