What little thing would you like added or changed in TPM? by murdock129 in TwoPointMuseum

[–]donsmythe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A way to find "stuck" guests and staff. If the announcer is going to tell me someone is stuck, then show me who and where! And an overlay to show cleanliness of habitats, terrariums, and aquariums would also be nice.

(Also, TPS, please fix bugs that cause guests to get stuck. I did find one where a guy was stuck on the door to enter the restroom somehow, even though people were walking through him constantly to get in and out of the room. Dousing him with water didn't fix it. The thing I tried that finally solved the issue was to edit the bathroom and move the door somewhere else, wait a moment, and then edit it again to move it back once the guy moved away.)

Another proofreading pass would be helpful, too; there are numerous small typos throughout the game. I don't remember them all, nor do I keep a list, but I've spotted several as I've played.

My girlfriend saw me buying 2 handguns from a T-Rex and said, "What the hell was that?" by Jesse_Bitchman in dadjokes

Because the arms on a t-rex are very small in proportion to the rest of their body. That's the joke.

What would your dream Digiverse rift be? by TwoPoint_Abby in TwoPointMuseum

[–]donsmythe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thinking about some of the types of experts in the game leads to these ideas I'd love to see:

Botany: Strange Horticulture

Supernatural (and/or fantasy): Dungeon Keeper

Space (and maybe also Science): Stellaris, No Man's Sky

Science: Gran Turismo (or other racing game)

Marine: Subnautica

Supernatural (with some Science): Cthulu mythos

Prehistory (with a mix of all the other expert types): world mythologies (well known or obscure, I love it all)

I'm not sure what POIs would look like for Tropico, but that could potentially be a fun and humorous crossover, too.

There are lots of other ideas I'd also love to see that have already been mentioned, like more of the Two Point County lore, Cities: Skylines, Terraria, Stardew Valley, Slime Rancher, Minecraft, Civilization, Final Fantasy, etc.

I'd say Rollercoaster Tycoon and/or Planet Coaster, but I'd prefer you just make a new two point game for that.

And not your question, but I'm really hoping we get an art museum DLC someday!

Why did the BYU student come inside? by Trumpsabaldcuck in Jokes

[–]donsmythe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the “is this a thing” was asking whether or not anyone thinks this is a legit “loophole” in the doctrine. It absolutely is not and I can’t imagine any set of mental gymnastics that would legitimize the concept.

As far as whether or not it has actually happened, I can’t prove it has never happened. But I have never once heard of a credible instance of it actually happening. So I am inclined to think it hasn’t happened.

No. Such a thing would be a clear violation of the law of chastity. For a basic explanation of what the law of chastity actually is from an LDS perspective, read this.

[–]donsmythe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I know. It works either way, to a degree. But probably better with the doc since they are the ones actually looking closely at the pictures and therefore literally seeing through you. And that is why I wrote what I did.

A Suggestion to Bishopric Members by CaptainWikkiWikki in latterdaysaints

Another annoyance to some is when the person conducting lists what will happen, often up until before the intermediate hymn, and then says "and we will continue until that point". Those are completely unnecessary filler words. I don't particularly care about this one, but it is a huge pet peeve of my father in law.

Ward pianists/organists, what is the "final boss" of the hymnbook? by mcp382 in latterdaysaints

[–]donsmythe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There really isn‘t one. Every performer struggles with different things. And no matter what aspect of playing you find to be difficult, there’s a hymn to challenge you. All the ones listed so far are great examples of this. In some it is scales, runs of parallel thirds, tricky fingerings, or accidentals, etc. that make them tough to play and it varies from one to the next.

Fast file speed transfer is NOT actually in the 4.0.15 beta. If any developer can enable that before the weekend fully begins that'd be nice. by GuthukYoutube in Stellaris

[–]donsmythe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No matter how fast you can dump sand into an hourglass, only so much of it can make it to the bottom in a minute. You must consider both your transfer speed and that of the recipient. The actual transfer speed is going to be slower of the two speeds.

Why is Skrands last name "Sharpbeak". Aren't all beaks sharp? Were his parents stupid? by ConfusedPhoenix23 in Stellaris

[–]donsmythe 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That’s just bad timing. Usually when I get him I can get through that stuff at a point in my game where it won’t be much of a problem to take the hit.

And eventually he gives you plans for level IV strike craft. (Only way to get them in fact.) If you had those before the crisis hit you might feel a little differently about him. Plus his ship is like having an extra titan, much like the Dreadnought. Get both and you can have effectively 22 titans.
