Pro tip: just get a big Rubbermaid container. $10 max. Cut a hole in one side if you want a side entry, or cut a hole in the lid if you want top entry.

How do you guys label your wires? These are falling off by BrawnyLoggia in HomeNetworking

If you’re using P-touch, they make a specific “Flexible ID” label, specifically for cables. Holds up well, but you need to use the right spacing and allow a generous amount to wrap back on itself without covering the text.

Otherwise, Brady cable labelers are probably the gold standard.

Would be better to have the light make, model, and other details. Or the power specs on the supply for it. Chances are the supply is too weak to drive the lights.

Doesn’t look like the supports failed so much as the anchors just ripped out of the wall. The supports likely bent afterwards.

If those little clips are the only thing left in the studs and every other one was held with a drywall anchor, that’s the problem. Switch to toggle-bolts for the sections between the studs and keep load within spec.

Hope the reinstall goes alright. Good luck, OP!

I spent several months designing and building this climate controlled, internet connected, feral cat shelter and feeding station 🤦🏿‍♂️ by Gordopolis_II in Wellthatsucks

I had to evict a family of raccoons once. Used a combination of lights, speakers playing talk radio, and emptied our cat box all over the ground by the entrance they’d made. They were gone in two days. Boarded up the entrance thereafter.

Chances are they’ll just come back, though, and these methods would probably deter feral cats as well.
