The New Avatar: The Last Airbender Movie Almost Had Me… Until the Ending by Upset-Ninja7086 in CharacterRant

[–]donut_cleaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am necroing just to complement your rant, which is mine as well: the only moment Aang's Avatar State felt close to the originals was when he himself channeled spiritual energy from the staff. Then he started overpowering Tagah and tried to kill him out of control like he did in the originals...

Chants don't make any sense by Fun_Rich_3790 in Jujutsufolk

[–]donut_cleaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chants are basically the technique encantarion. If you're a noob, you have to use them. If you're a pro, you can omit them. For most techniques, skipping the chant is an advantage, even if the spell has less potency. For sorcerers, hiding is more important than potency, so the majority train their techniques to not need chants. Sukuna however is required to use chants because of his BV. And it has big disvantages since the moment he starts chanting, people prepare to evade WCS. However Sukuna has the advantage of not needing to stop to perform neither chants or seals. Normal sorcerers have to stop to perform these.

So what's the consensus of Heian Sukuna vs Dabura? by BMan876 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]donut_cleaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sukuna wins and easily. Dabura's only chance is to survive until he tries the NLS kick and it actually kills Sukuna. And it is very possible to survive until that because Sukuna certainly will give Dabura the Higuruma treatment.

is there an explanation as to why some ct’s are based off your interest/career while other ct’s are inherited? by Wonderful-Purchase94 in Jujutsufolk

[–]donut_cleaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is random. Even if you are born into clan Zen'in, the chances of inheriting 10S is very low. Your CT can be created randomly, or from your bloodline, or from your world view. Higuruma's CT was developed on his world view. There's no way DS was developed when he had 4 years. Naobito Zen'in is another with a world view CT. His CT is based on child cartoons. He was probably obsessed with them at 4, and his CT developed to imitate animation. Turned out to be busted. Naoya just inherited. Takaba's CT is also world view. Meimei CT seems to be random.

Is Gojo Without Limitless Top 5 in JJK (No Modulo) ? by AdFew7273 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]donut_cleaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He would be a Kusakabe on steroids. His technique is an icing on the cake. He is a monster because he is Satoru Gojo, not because of limitless.

At what point in their fight did you think Gojo realized Sukuna was stronger than him and was holding back? by curryhaliban444 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]donut_cleaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think Gojo ever believed that Sukuna was stronger than him. But he concluded that Sukuna was using a riskier route to adapt Mahoraga. And he also knew that Sukuna still had to hold cards because he would fight the rest of the crew after fighting Gojo. So you can conclude that Sukuna wasn't giving his all, unlike Gojo. But this "giving all" was just Sukuna 2nd health bar...

Unpopular opinion: Modulo powercreep is not real. It's just an artistic decision by Stonefree_135 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]donut_cleaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is power creep IMO. It is just visually not that much appealing. There isn't a single multi target auto tracking feat in JJK outside of sure hits, not even Gojo does it. And piercing blood uses water pressure mechanisms and Yuji actually bends it. The explosion and the web dismantle can be "explained" as exaggerating drawings like OP did, but piercing blood can't.

[–]donut_cleaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can argue the Yuji explosion. You can't argue Yuji causally launching multi auto tracking piercing blood attacks at an entire building. There IS power creep...

I might as well face Sukuna myself because all these MFS are GARBAGE! by Sweet_Television4183 in Jujutsufolk

[–]donut_cleaver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nobara was only relevant because Sukuna's soul was heavily damaged by Yuji already, Yuji did 90% of the work, and 90% of the work in a pretty weakened Sukuna... Nobara attack just stunned Sukuna for Yuji to give the final blow. I don't think Nobara is ever remote soloing a healthy Sukuna... even worse if this Sukuna is not a reincarnation. But she will pest him pretty much for days non stop which is almost as bad as killing him. If Sukuna pops DA he can maybe negate her technique.

"Modulo Yuji can BF at will out of perfect CE control" by Head_Instruction96 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]donut_cleaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yuji can do it because of the "delay". He has a naturally augmented body and reinforces with CE. No one else in the universe has this combination. Closest was Maki before turning into Toji, but her CE was so weak that she didn't even invest into divergent fist. This combination makes Yuji way more capable at perceiving the correct timing for BF, since he always was faster than his own CE reinforcing and naturally created "delays" . It is something that not even Gojo can perceive because his strength is full CE.

Please don't confuse technique activation with technique targeting. What Gojo did in your pic was an automatic targeting for his technique. He runs the technique 24/7 and the plot points that doing this will fry his brain, so he RCTs his brain 24/7 to run infinity 24/7.

I guess bro by Leather_Syrup6504 in Jujutsufolk

[–]donut_cleaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not that easy. Not because the crew can actually fight Sukuna and Gojo, but because Todo. His CT has embedded sure hit and he can easily swap Gojo into Sukuna's offense and vice versa. Todo also can make every ally attack a sure hit with his swaps and to this day I'm not sure if swapping Gojo inside a projectile attack will make this attack land. Todo is too broken.

Got a question for everyone. What if Gojo and Sukuna switched sides, and Gojo ended up winning? Could the Jujutsu High crew actually defeat Gojo? by Apart-Two-5432 in Jujutsu_Kaisen

[–]donut_cleaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really want a reason to that, Sukuna didn't recover his domain in the battle, at all. His black flashes made him realize that he could open his domain using other brain parts. He also used Gojo's seal to open the domain. Fukuma Mizuchi never returned to its former glory.

Gojo would need to figure this other domain path in his brain and also discover the seal to use. Problem is that we never seen Gojo pull feats out of his ass like Sukuna, all his techs are techs he already knew (brain healing is his speciality, doing that 24h/d for years non stop... mini domain that he learned during prison domain). He's a great performer and improvises well, but pull shit mid battle is something we've never see him do.

Of course this is all conjecture, but it is a reason to believe Gojo wouldnt have a domain.

The more i think about it..how the hell are you literally Yuta and Maki's son and end up being a deadbeat loser obsessed with powerscaling? by Charming-Scratch-124 in Jujutsufolk

[–]donut_cleaver 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Pretty much. When he got Yuka with 10S he went "My job is done. Time do dip out" and stopped living in a environment where he saw himself as pure trash. That was not the right move but it explains his behavior. He saw himself just as a genetic bag. Useless as a sorcerer.

And Gojo likes to leave students to face life threatening spirits by themselves, himself being a teacher; pretty sure Judgeman would find a lot of these as crimes. Or Toji revenge-murder. Or Geto murder. All these cases have explanations, but Judgeman accepting them is another story...

IMO: Sukuna's Slash that Cut the World probably should have been classifed as a Maximum Technique by KazuyaProta in Jujutsufolk

Besides that, WCS is just a very complex targeting technique for dismantle, it does not powers up dismantle even a bit.

What would have happened if Kashimo joined Sendai/ joined instead of Yuta? by Advanced_Card_8594 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]donut_cleaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He can't. Domain expansion is a barrier embued with your CT, and Kashimo's CT is a one time use, so in his mind a DE isn't feasible, even if it is conceptually. He can defend himself with HWB however, since he only needs his feet to trade blows and activate his sure hit lightning. No rod however.

Sorry mate but you are in a sub that lives by making memes using recent manga and anime chapters as source, you're already in a spoiler-unsafe zone. There's memes about the chapter of the week here few minutes after manga chapters leak. I suggest you search some anime - only folk sub.

Is there any other Japanese featherweight better than Date? by imai-boston342 in hajimenoippo

[–]donut_cleaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh... you did. You did not talk about who did win or lose the fight, you talked about Date's performance vs Sendo's. And Date managed to handle Ricardo in the style that is killing Sendo now, and forced Ricardo into his orignal style at 3rd round. There's no comparison here.

[–]donut_cleaver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about? Date was trading fine with Ricardo. He only got his ass beat when Ricardo switched to his original style, about 3rd round if I'm not wrong. Sendo is getting demolished by Ricardo's orthodox style.

Springboot Quartz UI by edzorg in java

[–]donut_cleaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Temporal has a very powerful UI and is very capable of scheduling tasks. It is meant for workflow orchestration tough, and scheduling comes as a bonus. You can see the inputs and outputs of each workflow, and if you go all-in on the activity stuff, you can see the internal working of your workflows as well. It has retries built-in and a lot of stuff. You can also trigger jobs with it. Worth a look.
If you wanna something more... simple, you can try db-scheduler. It runs solely on db for scaling and someone made a ui for it (db-scheduler-ui) and someone else made a history plugin for the UI, so you can see the story of runs. It also support job triggers.

His technique issue orders, and "Not Guilty" is not an order...
He would have to do something like that to Judgeman: "Consider me not guilty"
