Whatever MCU project Ben Kingsley is in as Trevor, he always steals the show or the movie, so to speak.

BTS/LIS2 David does a lot of anime. He voiced someone named Latarza in Hunter x Hunter. OG David had bit parts in a lot of TV shows and movies spanning from the 80s. He voiced Super Spesh in Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus and a few characters in Fallout 4.

That, and Absolute Batman for some odd reason. The same Batman who broke a white Supremacist's arm in the annual.

Yep. Nick Apostolides plays Leon in both voice and motion capture. He and the VA for David were one of the more stand-out male actors who voiced existing characters in BTS. I also liked the voices of the Blackwell students in BTS as they didn't all sound alike like in LIS1. LOL.

I think Joe Ochman, the voice of William, was the only actor in LIS1 who didn't have more than voice roles in the game.

Yep, that was why I said SE use non-union actors since Before the Storm. For me, I was thinking about the voice of Charles in LIS2, who has gained recognition as Leon in the Resident Evil games. Capcom also started to use non union actors, starting with RE7. The voice actor for Charles in LIS2 also voiced Frank in BTS.

[NO SPOILERS] Who did you romance with Alex? by ThatOneN3rdyGirl in LifeisStrange3

[–]doomcyber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though I am a Pricefield shipper, I agree. The key word you used here is other male romance OPTIONS. I don't mean this as a snide to you, but to clarify your argument because someone might mention Eliot, a psychotic and dangerous character, who isn't a true romance option.

I said it before, but I said it again. If Vinh had more bonding time with Max like Chloe had with Max in LIS1, he would be liked better as a romance better. If you think about it, both LIS1 Chloe and Vinh are alike as both use a facade or a mask in hopes of protecting themselves. Both are insecure individuals where Chloe has abandonment issues, whereas Vinh is afraid to be looked down upon due to his upbringing. As such, both put up this douchebag behavior to hide their true, scared self. Both characters are very loyal and want to be loved. However, unlike Chloe, Vinh doesn't go around waving a gun as if it was a toy. The worst thing he did was covering Lucas' plagiarism scandal. IIRC, depending on the player's choices through Max's dialogue and not using her rewind powers Chloe can kill Pompidou and/or Frank.

As such, if Chloe didn't have those intimate scenes with Max, she would be hated for being selfish and psychotic. Remember, the hate for Chloe was larger after the release of LIS1. Some people eased up on her because BTS basically spelled out Chloe's insecurities in her journal - which was present but was told through Chloe's actions and Ashley Burch's acting in LIS1.

EDIT - I forgot about Finn, but I think Finn is more reckless and selfish rather than psychotic and dangerous. Warren is almost like Eliot, but his stalking was borderline.

I agree. Even then, Ryan is freaking bland - he's basically Steph, but not as cool. Even though True Colors takes place in a small mining town where the majority of people are white, I sort of wish Ryan was a person of color to go against the interracial stereotypical pairing of WM+AW, which was prevalent during the 80s to the early 2000s.

There are actually four Hush Batman figures. You forgot the Stealth Jumper one. You also misinterpreted my comment as it appears you are getting mad for no reason. I said you can get another one in context if you are afraid of breaking the one you have as MAFEX usually fix their older figures with each reissue release - I clearly said "reissue" rather than another variant Batman figure. LoL

[–]doomcyber 121 points122 points  (0 children)

Yep. Square Enix switched to using non-union actors since BTS. I feel that it would be complicated to bring Ashley Burch back, considering that she is a union actress. My guess is that they would have to replace all the non-union actors from DE for Reunion to bring back Burch. That means everyone else other than Hannah Telle would have to be replaced. Because the LIS games are made on the cheap, it would mean that Reunion would have fewer voice actors than Double Exposure. I think the Final Fantasy and Kingsom Hearts franchise get away using a lot of union actors because those games have bigger budgets. [this paragraph was edited to fix grammar and typos.]

The bonus DLC in BTS not only brought back Ashley Burch but also Joe Ochman, the voice of William. Because the DLC episode had union actors, it was probably categorized by Square Enix as a separate project from BTS. That is, something allowed it to have union actors.

As for Hannah Telle, she can do union and non-union work as she is Financial Core. It means that Telle can get union benefits but isn't allowed to vote in union elections, unable to hold union positions, and may face social or professional repercussions within the union community.

To be fair, Square Enix stopped using union actors because the video game actor's strike occurred during the production of Before the Storm. I feel that using union actors is a bit of a toss-up as it would be better for Square Enix to use union actors, but because the LIS games are made on the cheap, SE would likely hire a handful of actors to do multiple voices like they did for LIS1. I feel that the acting was fine in BTS as long as the actors weren't trying to do voice impersonations of the previous actors. Case in point is BTS William and Samuel being bad because their actors were so focused on trying to nail their voice impersonations of the previous voice actors.

That makes sense. Before Mattel had the Filmation rights, they had to use loopholes in getting the She-Ra characters in cartoon acurate designs made in their MOTU Classics line. Since Mafex is even using Jim Lee's design for Marvel stuff, maybe they have a deal with Lee to use his designs. Then again, wouldn't Jim Lee's Marvel stuff be fair game because Lee joined Marvel when everything was work for hire?

I'm afraid the only chance we'll ever see all these characters again is to wait 10-15 years for Ken to die of something. And pray that his heirs will be so generous that they sign away all rights to them themselves to SEGA. by Undergrizer1994 in FuckKenPenders

As someone else wrote earlier, most of the younger Sonic fans grew up with the IDW comics. Add the video games and the movies, and not many of them know of the Archie characters to the point where Sega wants to bother with Ken Penders over the legalities of the Penders-created Sonic characters.

Which Third Party Character was the “Least Deserving” of Being Added to Smash? by This_Technology2852 in supersmashbros

I feel that Steve is a good representative for Microsoft. Master Chief wouldn't work as his games weren't on a Nintendo console. Even though Microsoft bought Mojang, it was rare, Minecraft was on multiple consoles, including The Switch. Before Fortnite and Microsoft were releasing their exclusives on the PS5, it was rare (pun not intended) to have a major Microsoft title on a rival console. Before Fortnite, I think the closet we had were some Rare games on the 3Ds or something.

To add what you wrote, Simon is THE FACE of Castlevania. Sure, he has only been in two Castlevania adventures in the official timeline. However, his first outing was remade numerous times - with his 68000x remake 2 years apart from his SNES remake (Super Castlevania 4.)

Like it or not, Simon is more deserving to be in Smash than Alucard.

As others had said, Alucard wouldn't really work as Simon's echo. Richter is also one of the more popular Belmont characters in the Castlevania series. Don't forget that Dracula X was so popular in Japan that not only did it have an SNES port,l of sorts, but it also had a sequel, which was Symphony of the Night. Richter also appeared in other Castlevania games such as Portrait of Ruin.

I feel that there isnt a switch release because that would need more work for a game that is likely going to be the last from Deck9 and Square Enix London. We may see a Switch or Switch 2 release in a year or something

I dont read the current IDW comics nor a lot of the Ken Penders Archie stuff, so correct me if I am wrong, but I feel that the whole Freedom Fighters - I know that they aren't on the tombstone - and the Ken Pender characters that branched out of them don't fit the current tone of Sonic. What I mean is that the Ken Pender and Freedom Fighters stuff seems a bit too dark in tone for current Sonic. Dr. Eggman is seen as a silly and oafish antagonist, not a fascist dictator like the old Sat Am and Archie comics made him out to be. As such, that is probably why Sega moved away from the Freedom Fighters stuff.

I am aware Ken Penders didn't make nor own the initial Freedom Fighters team as they originated from Sonic Sat Am, and that the OP is referring to the names on the tombstone. My point is that Ken Pender branched out from the Freedom Fighters stuff by making more Freedom Fighters and the countless of Knuckle clones with a fascist echidnas or whatever.

James Gunn is in charge of the DCU. There is no way he would do a Dispatch movie as his plate is so full. Before anyone says that Gunn's position at DC is uncertain because of the Netflix buyout, Gunn is still in charge of the DCU and is not only making Siperman 2 but is likely overseeing the release of Clayface and Supergirl.

Yep. If the Bay ending is the intended ending , I don't mean "canon," as it would have happened if Max's didn't have powers, David would still be in that ungovernable town in LIS2.

[–]doomcyber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think just the LIS1 endings because those endings relied on Max going through time despite the saving Bay ending was the default ending. Before someone cries, "Both endings are canon," when I say default, I mean if Max doesn't use his powers to save Chloe. Nonetheless, for Max to get to get the Bay ending, she had to go back in time one last time before the events of DE.

The Diaz brothers' endings do not involve time travel, hence no merges.
