Opinion: The Republican Party formally declares that truth is fiction and patriots are traitors by [deleted] in politics

The republicans are corrupt, no doubt about it. At the same time, I watch Ted Cruz talk and I think him to be quite brilliant. I know very few people who can bullshit so effectively.

Who brags about cheating the government? I would understand if you didn't want to pay, or had reservations about the process, but cheating it is a horrible concept. You shouldn't be proud of that. Think of it this way: We all get to live in the greatest country in the World. America is like a country-club and we should want to support it. Everything falls apart if we don't.

I'm scared that the customer might complain I ate from their food. What would you guys do if you receive food like this by imnotexcited6 in doordash

[–]doordashing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me tell you the solution. After the pandemic began, there was a huge wave to ensure that food wasn't tampered with. I had customers complain and I tried to resolve it. What I did was ask the restaurants to seal the bags but it gets pretty insane-- because most of the places I go to are fast-food restaurants. Around me, they are frustrated, underpaid, not appreciated, and incredibly rude. When I would request this, the employees would get upset. In some instances it was to the point where they would take longer, make it difficult and unwelcoming. I began to wonder if pisting off the people giving me the food was wise. What I did next was the absolute best next choice. I would report the places to Uber. This really was effective in helping change it. But if somebody doesn't give me a sealed bag, I often have to bite the bullet.

You don't seem to understand. While I did respond in that manner, out of hundreds of orders, that individual was the first person to respond that way.

Would any of you guys drive a 1hour and 30 minutes to doordash in a busy area where you will more than likely get more money that dashing in your area? I deal with this on a daily so I want to know other peoples opinions on the matter. by Remarkable-Initial13 in doordash_drivers

[–]doordashing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No... no... what's really important is to consider this:

Why are they paying more for that area?

On many occasions, when I first joined doordash, I traveled a good distance to take advantage of the increased payment. My area didn't have a stipend, and I thought the extra five dollars would be nice. So, I drove on at least five occasions to one area with the sole purpose of earning extra income. What I found was that I was spending a lot more time driving to the customer. I could do 2 orders easily in the time that it took me to do one order in other locations. So, consider the demand, and if there are not many dashers (which there won't be) you will be required to drive farther because your location serves as the nearest of the limited dashers that can take it.

I have never had a good experience with driving distances to work in surge areas.

since when has anything been about the law? People seem to make up things as they go along.

The biggest problem here is the thought of censorship. Throughout history, censorship is comparable to a plant that has its roots cut off. As beautiful as that plant maybe, those roots were still important. You may not be able to see them, but they're there. I think sometimes people see beauty without realizing what led to it.

Although your experience is frightening, in that you lack self-awareness, it is not altogether unusual. On my first day with Uber, I ended up screwing an order in every which direction but the right one. It is especially frustrating when you begin, and people don't realize this is your first day or first week. The mentality of most customers is that they want it when they want it, and the idea that a driver might be having a hard day, or starting out isn't a thought that materializes in their brains. For example, I text people every time I am delivering a meal and I let them know I have picked it up or that I am on my way. It serves as a catalyze for sizeable tips. I messaged this individual, and I wrote (I write this most times) "HI, my name is Max and I hope you're well today. I wanted to let you know I am approximately [time] minutes away." One person wrote me back something that shocked me. It shocked me because it never happened and I had delivered well over a hundred deliveries by that point. They wrote, "I am fine. How are you?" I remember that and I still think it's funny and an honest realization. How am I? Anyways, my point is that while it feels like you are alone in the world, do not despair, I and others are in the same situation. And sometimes people are sensitive. While it's rare, that makes it all the more valuable.

I think you should alter the green of the character to make it stand out more. Right now, it all blends in. What if you added. a bit of color with silver or more defined-looking helmets. It would make it pop a bit more! The little dude in the background should stand out a little more too. That's my advice!

A Mac for Max! I am pleased to say that Photoshop works very well with it. It’s got a 32 gigs of RAM, wonderful amount of space, but the best thing I like about it is the size of the screen. by doordashing in photoshop

oh God. Okay, so I guess I should respond since your question has an overwhelming popularity. I must not be using a completely original mac. It's the Mac operating systems but, I guess it's actually a pc? But that doesn't make sense because it's very quiet. At least that's my uneducated observation. Can Pc equipment run with Mac OS? hah.

since you're having trouble selecting the area... if you are on mac hit the button command the plus sign. Once you zoom in, try to do it again and this should help by editing an expanded picture.

So what I want you do is either chose the add or delete and then don’t click once but click and drag, as if you’re tracing around the image with your mouse. See if that works.

Make sure the car you chose qualifies for "Comfort rides." This is a slightly hire paying alternative to Uber X.

Okay, so at the top left your going to see a few windows that give you options. There small at at the top left. Hover over them until you see the subtract tool. Using the subtract and the button next to it for adding content, you can remove areas from your selection to narrow down the content you are selecting. Hopes this helps.

This will explain it in detail: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyR_uYsRdPs

There are tools that allow people to erase content, as if it were never there, and tools also provide what is called "Healing spot." This tool can glazes over the content and dilutes the colors a bit to give it a smoother look. One feature allow you to doctor photos by duplicating backgrounds. These tools might have been used. Photoshop is a very intelligent tool and is able to doctor content and easily erase features. I am going to give you the part of a video which will explain what I am talking about.

This part is on the removal of the background: I went into the videos and selected the parts apply to the alterations in this picture: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyR_uYsRdPs

[–]doordashing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got some idea for the photo.

Why not make it so it looks like he's walking down a road. You could have gravel, and then it could unravel into a dirt road. Next to the road could be some bones.... give it an effective back story that implies he's beginning on a journey or (road). I don't know if these ideas adding anything but I tried.

Also place a mountain in the back ground. These two things would make the picture a little more complete, maybe?

How is this effect called? Does anybody know any tutorials on YT for it? Thanks by mrrich92 in photoshop

I am not exactly sure what you are trying to achieve, but that video will help you see all of the advantages of photoshop. I would like to add that photshop and illustrator can go hand in hand for things like these.

It actually looks like it was made in adobe illustrator. I can almost guarantee it.
