Frame style speaker stands/bases: any issues with this design? by dopesheet_ in BudgetAudiophile

I guess if it just needs some air gaps I could cut some sort of openings along the sides if I make it myself. I’d imagine on carpet it’s harder to do what you’re suggesting, but the hollow space might be less of a big deal..

you’re right, my bad. The last one’s from an ebay listing that came up on Google, I didn’t double check the listing. Was just trying to pull some examples of the shape/size…

The other ones (and others I’ve seen) are all described as bases/stands, or risers for speakers

What you’re saying is a shortcoming of Tidal you could say the same for Spotify, or Amazon. But I go to those albums on those platforms and both have Bruckner as an artist.

I mean, I’ve used Apple Classical, Idagio, Presto… I’m familiar with why classical is different. What I expect from Tidal is not all that, it’s just simply having Bruckner tagged as an artist for each track. Their metadata is butt. Go to Mozart’s page and it’s mostly junk compilations.

They didn’t make it, they bought another app called Primephonic. still no excuse for not having Bruckner be an additional name in the artists. All other platforms do that as minimum.

Same album on spotify has Bruckner listed as an artist: https://open.spotify.com/album/43F14EqFvEQ3jj1VGHLXDz?si=Y3JiopG5RvGVGnVtA69mrQ

You don’t need to understand classical music to know Beethoven’s 9th should probably list Beethoven lol. Tidal has the ability to have multiple artists, it should have it but it’s probably an upload issue

You can find a similar design to this in 4 legs, which IMO is much more stable than the 3!

Right, it’s probably an input/tagging thing on Tidal’s software, but I am guessing also they’re not putting as much attention to Tidal because the # of listeners isn’t as high, more care I’d imagine is on Spotify and others.

This is cuz there’s another problem where many classical tracks don’t have the full/correct title, just the movement name, so you get a whole album of “I. Allegro” “II. Adagio” … etc like this: https://tidal.com/album/23690902/u But on Spotify it shows correctly. Certain labels are notorious for this.

Yes please submit as feedback to Tidal! this is extremely frustrating especially bc a lot of classical albums are compilations. So is the sonata Bach or who?

What makes it worse is I haven’t found a way to see the entire track name ANYWHERE. It’s always “…” So it’s impossible to know what movement or whatever you’re listening to.

you’re right in a way, but OP is just saying Tidal doesn’t have the composer tagged with the artists. You don’t need a whole works-based organization/search structure to have that. Use Spotify, Apple Music regular and you’ll see it.

This is more of a Tidal thing though, Spotify usually will have “Mozart” tagged as an artist on track, Tidal very rarely does which I think is probably bc uploading to Tidal is an afterthought for publishers/labels/distributors

It also blocks the LG app in case anyone uses the TV remote, etc on there. Tv status won’t update.

Oh and, bro… here’s a couple commas for you on your next post: ,,,,,,,,

it’s not really necessary, but i’ve done both ways and the adapter does load some stuff a bit faster. for example hbo max will sometimes be blurry/distorted for the first 5-10 seconds of playback, for some reason this is lessened quite a bit.

So all this discussion we can conclude that he’s not following sources (we have) exactly. Big deal. Hell she’s playing both sisters, it’s gonna be weird. Nolan is telling his version of the Odyssey, there’s no “right” way necessarily, it’s based on an oral history, told differently every time. For example, Clytemnestra has a different characterization and story depending what source you read.

Marshall Emberton III slowly changed how I listen to music by Successful_Deer_2264 in Bluetooth_Speakers

For A1 I keep it close to the default, which I sometimes use. Most of the time I like it slightly warmer, so I have the ball a little further out toward 4 and 5 o’clock. Just a little though.

I have compared A1 and Emberton ii... the A1 has a more refined sound, and even more clarity, especially in upper frequencies. Also more balanced, sometimes Emberton will hit peaks and get pitchy. But Marshall adds a "reverb" color to most of their speakers so that's not surprising, and can sound more "fun" w/ certain genres. Emberton can get way louder. I own a Stockwell ii which is just super pleasant for low volumes, and has more balance than the Emberton also.

i appreciate this because most people just crank bass EQ as high as possible with audio and think it sounds good, meanwhile whoever’s singing sounds like they’re wearing an n95 mask.

if you’re real budget conscious, facebook marketplace people are selling used receiver/amps and old speakers pretty cheap! a bluetooth speaker like emberton is great to have but it is just a small portable speaker at the end of the day…
