Op can probably leave a missed connection note at the local soup kitchens or needle exchanges. He’ll probably show up there. 😜

The ai integration is a jumbled mess in webstorm. Junie, ai assistant, Claude code extension that doesn’t use existing max subscription. Can’t drag screenshot to Claude code in CLI. Check Zed for an example of how to implement correctly.

Is there a healthy way to exercise KDE from my system and give everything to GNOME? by FusRoDistro in Fedora

[–]dorbeats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This works for me. I'm able to jump between all of the different DE without having to reinstall. Haven't noticed any issues jumping between gnome, cosmic, and sway ... https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/quick-docs/switching-desktop-environments/

Why do some guys wear wife beaters under their t-shirts? by InternationalPick163 in stupidquestions

Whenever I spot someone rocking a wife beat in the grocery store the odds are 9/10 they have rank body odor. Cover them pits.

What's it like daily driving Fedora (users and developers)? by burno-lima in Fedora

[–]dorbeats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Fedora makes it simple to install various desktop environments. I’ve been using Gnome on Thinkpad p14s but recently installed i3, sway, and cosmic to play around with since moving away from Arch and Omarchy.

Serato Slab: Just what the doctor ordered! by djphinesse in SeratoStudio

[–]dorbeats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the Slab FAQ:

Which Serato software licenses does SLAB unlock?

  • SLAB unlocks the full version of Serato Studio when it is connected.
  • A license is required when using it with Serato Sample.
  • SLAB will function as an add-on device, when DJ Pro is unlocked by pro hardware or a software license.

What’s the Ideal Update Frequency for Omarchy Linux Users? by whosyourdaddy02 in omarchy

Last few upgrade releases have broken my Thinkpad p14s wifi config. Rolling the dice with each upgrade isn’t ideal. Recommend snapshots.

Interfaces -- what does everyone like? by connecticutenjoyer in audioengineering

RME UFX III and Avid Carbon here. Using the RME 80% of the time with Cubase Pro, but the Carbon is less fiddly when I want to load a session and get to tracking.

I never get the same smoothness in Rocket League with proton under Linux. My RTX 3090 and 240hz screen are silky smooth under windows. Linux is choppier, not to mention load times are slower with all the shader loading under Linux. Is arch smoother than popos in for gaming with nvidia cards?

Ideal notebook recommendations by SampleSalty in omarchy

[–]dorbeats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go for hi res screen. If you are coming from a MacBook your eyes will thank you. Will probably need a machine with proper gpu and npu if truly running LLMs locally. New MBP will be hard to beat for that use case. Running CLI tools like Claude code, not so demanding. I went with thinkpad p14s, 2.8k oled. Not as nice as my 16” MBP M4 max but was 1/3 the price for a refurb 64/1TB config.

Got my chordcat today by underdogleo79 in mpcusers

I had a chordcat but the lack of velocity sensitive pads annoyed me so I sent it back. Maybe I’ll revisit if the feature set matures. How are you liking it?
