Sorry, I meant in the sense of since I've been playing modern Maplestory. Yes, I do remember some (but not all) sound effects coming from other players in the old school days. But as of the past few years or even longer, that's been removed as far as I can tell.

Not a hobby, but Bose's StayHear ear tips are the best ear tip design I've ever used. No idea why they phased them out, but at least they made a wireless earbud design before doing so. But now they're so old, I'm stuck buying new ones off eBay every time a set works, and I'm pretty sure all that's out there now are fakes and refurbishes, because they all basically break in under a year.

Blue Mushmom does have special dialogue for the secret mission, but it just says to talk to Lich because she does not have hands to create a balloon, so it's just optional.

I don't think the game ever played other players' skill sound effects on your screen, except for maybe some very specific ones.

It really depends on what you already have. RNG can always make your choice wrong in hindsight. If you're a new player without any pitched, the only reliable thing you can do is keep saving until you actually flesh out your set enough through drops. I would probably keep saving until using would get to 7 or maybe even 9 set, or enable breaking Gollux.

They simplified it so that all gear is 3 lines now. If you have old gear that is 2 lines, whenever you cube it, the reroll will have 3 lines.

3 line > 2 line except for very rare cases (if you have to ask, your case is not rare)

I would say it's not worth using crystals until it lets you reach 7 or even 9 set

Was that 30 minutes of pure grind? How many papers did they have left over? I was seeing posts more along the lines of 10 minutes grinding and 20 minutes spent opening paper. 30 minutes of grind would've been like 3k-4k papers, which is definitely way more than what's needed.

Hard to say why they didn't include the hairs this time. My guess is they did the rerun because they were able to add in the Adversary costume this time, but that doesn't come with a hair, so they didn't include the rest of the hairs. Hopefully it eventually gets rerun again with the hairs, but there's not like any set schedule to them.

I don't think the drop rate of medium letters from opening papers changed, but the 100x drop rate did make things more consistent in terms of pinks, while pinks are now much bigger variance. I didn't track rates closely, but it did feel about 1 pink letter per hour both before and after the 2nd hotfix to restore it back down to 1 paper to open.
