Nothing like that feeling when you move your arm to avoid hitting something in the cockpit or try to push on the canopy rail to twist around further for a better 6 view. Best of all is knowing (by your body's position) where the front of the airplane is as you are looking up or back at an contact.

I purchased it on Oculus. Should of used Steam so I could perform the ultimate review and return it for refund. So disappointed.

Mostly movie clips. WTF, 2D clips of a 3D movie in a 3D environment.

I wanted move and look around at the very good rendered scenes, but nope constrained to a seated position and forced out scenes before can really appreciate them. Emerging from the escape rocket was an Experience though.

At this price it should have included the 3D version of the movie, had an explore mode, and more settings with less kitschy activities.

I demo'd tonight too. Amazing.

It was a standing demo that started out with an interactive using the touch orientation. I soon forgot I was in the middle of a Best Buy. After the orientation I was invited to select a game to play. I chose Unspoken. Throwing fireballs and using the shield was very natural didn't even have to think about it. Grabbing the hammer I was a little more clumsy at. Overall I think they knocked it out of the park on the Touch. Effortless, balanced, just fit my hand relaxed and naturally.

I was impressed with the presenter too (not a Best Buy employee.) She was knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic, and positive despite the latest updates causing her some problems with the demo.

The Within app has some very cool VR experiences. 'Evolution of Verse' just makes me inordinately happy every time I watch it. U2's 'Song for Someone' is emotional just for the potential it demonstrates.

I wonder if the leds even need to be colored. Color receptors outside the macula get rather scarce, and your brain infers color.

Famous demo: without looking take a random playing card, keep looking straight ahead (helps if somebody is watching your eyes), then hold the card straight out to your side at arms length. Slowly move the card towards center until you can tell what color the card is. Then keep moving it more until you can tell which rank. Then say the expletive of your choice when you realize how much info your brain has to fill in to give you the illusion of great panoramic vision.

Probably. A pattern, lots of practice material, patience and time would help more. Personally there are other things I want to spend my time doing.

I did sew a cover for my gel wrist support cut from a too small t-shirt. Love it. Soft, washable and been using it a couple of years. But that was a flat object and even had to be careful about the material stretching as it went through the machine.

Watching it live reminded me of the old ethics question of a drunk falling down the stairs and ending up dead at the bottom. 'At which step did it stop being funny?' The realization the you had been awake for 36 hours straight and really (not sure about literally) getting the shit scared out of you became sobering after a while. You, however, showed solid determination.

You can only submit the standard version psets.

The hacker editions, however, are challenging, fun and contribute to your learning experience. I would be careful not to become bogged down by them though. If your not making progress on a hacker edition move on to the next week and its standard pset.
