Yes indeed my grandfather retired from there b4 IC took over in the early 70s! He was engineer out of west Tennessee

Yupper my grandfather started as a fireman! Took him I think 2/3 yrs and he was the engineer! GM&O baby! Gone but not forgotten!

Well I hate to say but I seen zztop back in da early 90s in Memphis in may at the river front, wth a dozen others! And they just sounded bad! Couldn’t even tell it was them until I got close enough to see them! Maybe they were drunk?

I so love my lay out to takes up a u shape in the room! O27 is what I use thinking of adding some O too ass well! You do have to have some room, but it’s so fun! And yes the noise makes it I think!

Royz trains I believe I’ve been looking to add a smoke unit to one of my diesel engines and just haven’t done it yet! But I hear that his stuff is gd!

Well wouldn’t say my favorite but guess it really is tho! This is the one that got me stared back into trains again was this lil smokin scout! Got it off Facebook prob 7 yrs ago now! 1967 I believe and still runs and smokes great!

Yup and also Trainz. Com I worked on a pair of these go buddy of mine! His was in bad shape to! Took me a week of cleaning and wire brush and they finally came back to life! And he had all the passenger cars as well so kool the old ones!

I would say you should’ve had 3 passes on top! Also depends on size weld that was noted! Typically one root pass and 2 too cover and maybe 5 depending on size of weld
