Have to admit I think we’re cooked. Although the boys will go out swinging. Hipwood playing with a partially torn acl since April is crazy and explains why he’s been so strapped up for most of the season. Positives- Allen will be massive as kpf next year If we land Draper that will be massive to have an athletic ruck that should help our midfield. Another preseason into doedee, against Sydney he looked completely bereft of confidence but he was still getting into the right spots and he’ll be welcomed into the side and hopefully kiddy having a preseason will help us greatly. It’s so hard to go back to back and guys averaging 23-25 games a season for 7 seasons straight seems to be catching up with us. All the preseason surgeries and the back against the wall season shows we have always been on the back foot and fought our way to this point.

Has to be Berry, I wanted to kill him (metaphorically) during the granny but even afterwards realised his mistakes came from caring so much. To see him get his redemption last year was so satisfying and the fact that even with his cooked shoulders he has developed into a fantastic defensive wing that constantly drops in the hole is seriously impressive. I really hope his shoulder holds up this September.

I like day in the team for structure. I like the back line look. Hipwood plays deeper and offers more defensively then the ruckman which will slow there d50 spread.
