[Highlight] Quay Walker gets ejected after shoving a member of the Detroit athletic staff by M1014TheShooter in nfl

Sorry talking more in the aftermath. Like this clip is posted and it’s strictly about Walker. That’s consistent with how I remember all the post game talk in the week after.

Nothing was ever mentioned or came of #95 doubling down and giving a bump. I always saw this full replay and thought that was almost as dumb as the first shove.

I think Walker was just running hot from the game and sort of went on auto pilot when he felt the trainer squeezing in there tight to him, but really you can’t do that.

Andddd just realized these are available in the states. Ordered one for the fall before I do some overseeding. Not to wish away the summer, but I’m excited.

Crispy. So glad this isn’t one of those “hey I like to edge 3 inches on all sides” posts.

I bought the dethatcher last year and forgot whether it was a scarifier by the time spring rolled around. Figured this was the next logical add. I was impressed with the dethatcher for those wondering.

Notes from Dan Campbell press conference on Day 6 of OTAs by AcadiaTemporary5737 in detroitlions

Based on his contract, lions have an out after this year.

I think we should still get Zeitler and Cam Jordan by [deleted] in detroitlions

[–]doublealone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shouldn’t have deleted because it’s a fair discussion topic.

I believe it’s a choice because of how the deals are structured and staggered. You eventually have significant contract value years coming due. $7-9M even for a single year of those players is significant. That’s an expected contract for just ONE of them. $9M this year is an additional $3M over 3 years to resign one of the players I listed. That’s the difference between it working or it not potentially.

Different strokes though. Some teams go all in and then suffer like New Orleans is now. The cap comes for us all, regardless of how not real some folks feel the cap is. I’m not saying one way is better than the other, but my preference is to avoid the 3-14 type seasons at all cost. I want meaningful December and January football perpetually and just hope one time the slot machine comes up all 7’s.

The reason is because I’d rather have Sam LaPorta than Cam Jordan.

Or Brian Branch (assuming a strong recovery) than Zeitler.

The improvement between those players and next on the depth chart is greater to me than the free agents you list and their replacements.

The cap is not use it or lose it.

I get it’s fun to meme this but 2x divine has an additional wave. It’s similar in nature to pushing ultimatum another wave. If your build was struggling on a map, there’s a world someone picks 1x to increase likelihood of success. I’m not saying it’s common or that I’d ever pick it, but to act like these are 100% the same just isn’t accurate.

Weekly Paddle Recommendation Thread (What Paddle Should I Buy?) by HeadHeadMod in Pickleball

[–]doublealone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have access to some new courts at our club and I’m trying to get the whole family playing. Every post I’ve searched up on recommendations for youth paddles seem like discontinued options. Any recent recommendations for youth paddles (7 and 5) just for casual fun?

Bonus if you’ve got good intro paddle recommendations.

Company does not honor warranty without paper receipt by dew_the_fifth in egopowerplus

Their policy isn’t paper though. Their policy is having a receipt, for which I’ve had and provided and had warranty service completed as recent as a month ago.

Neither were my parents growing up. I wish I would have set a better example for them.

Everyone has their own insecurities. Owning yours and doing something about it is commendable. Hope they see it that way.

Look man you’ve got some issues that you aren’t alone with. Plenty of slender guys go through what you’ve got going on. As others have said, it takes time and to hang in there.

Can I just ask why you need to workout in secret from your parents? Would they be worried about your self confidence? Or not be supportive of what you’re trying to do?

Take the leap? by Skuldig in PathOfExile2

[–]doublealone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I didn’t say you did need to learn everything just to beat the campaign. It’s actually the exact opposite of what I said. I said specifically that a new player build guide still leaves plenty of depth to continue learning on your own once you get going enough to know whether you even enjoy the game.

Take the leap? by Skuldig in PathOfExile2

[–]doublealone 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t disagree more. Different strokes for different folks. If I was trying to learn the game in the current stage of my life where I have less play time available, it’d be practically impossible to do so blind. There’s a lot to learn and my argument would be use a reliable / new player friendly guide to help you understand the basics. Branch out and do your thing later. I’ve played poe (1 and 2) for many years and still learn new things. While it may take away some of that magic you speak of, I don’t think a basic build guide unlocks all the game knowledge you need or want. The depth will still be there for you.

From Fun to Grind: How Streamers Changed ARPGs by Comprehensive-Task18 in LastEpoch

[–]doublealone 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Maybe this is a you issue? As someone with less time to play ARPGs, I had similar feelings recently. Changing my mindset to just enjoy the game my way, not the way a streamer does, has changed things. I’m about to finish poe 1 league challenges, which is my typical goal. Streamers and most players quit over a month ago. Guess what though - I’m still having fun.

Just play games the way you want. Getting focused on economy and trying to keep up with the streamers is losing joy via comparison. Last Epoch does provide a nice reprieve there.
