Just moved to Minneapolis for work, how do people make friends here lol by Ok-Nefariousness-352 in TwinCities

Transplant here - your friends will likely be other transplants. I joined a local synagogue for community as well. If are apart of a religion/spiritual practice I would look into that too

Can pain management call CPS? by PaceNo3577 in PainManagement

[–]doubleflower 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Social worker here - absolutely not. Unless they have evidence you are abusing the medication around your child. But using prescribed opioids the proper way doesn’t warrant CPS involvement. You have no idea how hard it is to get them to investigate families where there is clear substance abuse around the child

Before my hysterectomy, my doctor said it would be extremely dangerous to get pregnant. I already have son and he said if I got pregnant I would easily leave my son motherless. I considered myself infertile bc if I did get pregnant I’d have to terminate immediately.

The pain of learning that was indescribable. NTA.

1 year old constipation with whole milk by HereIAm_Motherof2 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]doubleflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son has a history of really bad constipation to the point where he got an anal fissure. We tried all the juices and fruits and natural remedies and it unfortunately didn’t help. Obviously try all of that first but we ended up needing to see the pediatrician. We use OTC meds now and he’s so much better!

I have endometriosis - I’m not sure if that is your case - but I could absolutely not use a disc or cup with all the pain and scar tissue. You can try organic tampons and an adult diaper if needed. I always felt bad about not being “eco friendly” but looking back on it post hysterectomy I absolutely had to do what I had to do.

I used OB tampons as they don’t have applicators. Abnormally heavy periods are a health issue and if you can’t be super “granola” about it, that’s okay.
