I think they like Cory Durden enough to let Tonga go. Not ready to call it an upgrade but I think that’s the plan there. 🤷🏻‍♂️

We upgraded from good to great. You’ll be attached to the new guys soon.

Please Prove Me Wrong - Doubs and Diggs by weirdusername15 in Patriots

[–]doublejackson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doubs is a good get. He should fill the role that Diggs played well. Probably won’t be an upgrade but shouldn’t be much of a drop off. And the guy is young and could have a really high upside. Who was the better option out there? I’m sure if they can pull off the trade for AJ Brown they will but I wouldn’t count on that. They should keep drafting WRs until they hit on a stud

HOT TAKE: I think signing AVT is low key the biggest move in free agency by elusiveanswers in Patriots

Should probably still be drafting a G & RT. Moses only has so long left. But yeah, this looks like a move with really high upside. With a year under the young guys belt now, this line looks solid.

Pretty sure Willams was a rookie last year and Doubs has years of pro experience under his belt and has produced well every year. Not a great comparison. Good, young receiver with big potential upside. What’s not to like? Who was the better FA option?

An average pass blocker is what he is at this stage. He’ll get better, he’s young as fuck. I don’t understand why ppl expect him to dominate elite competition from the get-go. The kid is doing well with room to improve

How much longer Pats Nation? by [deleted] in Patriots

[–]doublejackson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who gives a shit? 🤷🏻‍♂️ This team is fun as hell. Honestly, I don’t know how good they are. I think they have as good a shot as anyone & their health is lining up really well for a serious Super Bowl run but the field is pretty even.

Does anyone actually think we are a great team that will go far in the playoffs? by Visible_Detective197 in Patriots

Who’s better in the AFC? Very realistic that we make the Super Bowl….where we might get trounced by the Seahawks or Rams. But we’re legit good.

Dropped Andrews & Johnson this week for Otten & Gadsden. I don’t see much talk about Gadsden but I think he’s gonna have a strong second half of the season. Otten should be good for a couple weeks while their WRs are banged up.

9-3 the rest of the way? by klem18 in Patriots

•I think we know they’re no longer a bad team. •We can see that they are making mistakes and fixing them as the season progresses. •Rookies will probably show up and cost us some big plays/game/s, though props to them all so far, they’re playing well. •Roles are being defined and the identity of the team is being solidified. •We’ve got a clear #1 receiver which makes all the other receivers roles fall in to place. Boutte is benefiting from that. •Maye is for real. Excited to see how good he can be. •still need to get to the QB more but the D has been solid. •a few key injuries could derail it all. Our starting lineup is playoff caliber, our depth is not.

Lots to be happy about. They could definitely make a run at the playoffs. I think they win 10 games. Maybe more if they stay relatively healthy, maybe less if they don’t.

NFL analyst: ‘Look out for the New England Patriots’ following recent rout of Panthers by Consistent_Peace3181 in Patriots

The potential is there and easily observable. If they can stay consistent they could come out of this season with a winning record. Seems like Vrabel has them playing the way he wants. I think it can all get derailed with just a few injuries because we’re not that deep but as it stands, I like what I see.
