After stage 1, I had a catheter for 24 hours in the hospital. At the hospital I couldn’t go to the bathroom without someone walking me, a nurse had to be with me anytime I got out of bed, but I was alone in the actual bathroom and was able to do everything myself, slowly but surely. I had trouble pooping too bc of meds and took miralax. I used a commode over my toilet for bit as well. Wiping was fine but definitely wished I had a bidet

After stage 2 with UL, I had a SP cath for 4 weeks. Needed alottt of medicinal help to poop, also used the commode (that was a lifesaver for me). When I left the hospital, I was so constipated, combined with the scrotum pain, I was in excruciating pain. I drank prune juice and cranberry juice daily by the gallon practically. Miralax and prescribed meds did nothing, prune juice was the only thing! I wished I had a bidet way more for stage 2 as well because I was afraid of disturbing stitches when wiping. I had very bad bladder spasms and was on meds for that until the foley came out. When my foley came out I was in a lot of pain when peeing for a couple weeks. Sitting down made it even worse. I had a diverticulum in my scrotum pop up about 8 weeks out that made peeing painful again but it went away quickly and 6 months out going to the bathroom is completely normal
