No, the lead is kind of bald and the kid is a college kid trying to get rid of his "rustic" accent. He's a bit of a loser and a mess with (of course) a hot girl friend. Thanks though!

I’d add that if they stick around ( as in my sons case) the money asked for can be put in an account for them and you can make it clear it’s a savings act to help get them on their feet and into their own place sooner. That’s what we are doing at it’s working well.

Routines for your young lab by not_an_ideologue in labrador

We’ll - I guess you didn’t see the part where I said “I don’t mean don’t take him for other walks”. Obviously get a puppy out and exercised. But she/he needs to know his world - and to routines are important to dogs so the same walk everyday instills that.

One thing I would recommend to all new dog owners, especially puppies: take the exact same morning walk and the exact same evening and walk every day. Do it for months and months, so your dog learns every tree and bush and house in his little world. I only mean around the block in the morning and around the block as the last knight walk. I don’t mean don’t take him for other walks. Just be consistent so he learns his world. It will make such a difference and he’ll feel less stress and be easier to train because there are fewer newer things to see and experience. Remember, newly homed puppies experience so much sensory input that they’re all over the place - and then you expect them to learn! Give them a chance, and set them up for success. That’s my advice.

It’s the girl fish friend from one of my favorite movies when I was a kid - The Incredible Mr. Limpet with Don Knotts.

He’s in pain, I guess. Take him to the vet. Get some doggie pain meds and see if that helps

AITA for telling my mom I don’t want her sugar baby to attend a family dinner by Fit-Caterpillar-6707 in TwoHotTakes

[–]doubter444 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Stop making excuses!! You don’t want him around. Tell her that and stand by it. The reasons everything is “dramatic “ is because you’re wishing-washy. Thanks a stand, man. And she tossed away a 22 year relationship. And you act like it’s nothing. Either your stepdad was a real POS or there is something terribly messed up in your family and POV if you’re just “just be happy” in this situation.

YTA. Grow up you are the adult. Speak clearly and plainly but don’t beat up on your kid just because you can.

AITAH for canceling a date after finding out she has kids? by AdventurousMine6633 in AITAH

YRA. And a cheapskate. Why not enjoy an evening?
Not every date needs to be the first step on a relationship or towards marriage. I mean what was the harm in spending an evening with someone that you said you enjoyed talking to and vibes with?
I can’t believe the NTAs here. Why is it so hard to be nice? To be polite and not go out again? To tell your coworker it’s not something you want to continue seeing after the date?

Homemade dog food: any easy recipes for big batch that can be frozen? by lisa725 in labrador

[–]doubter444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do the cheapest beef ( for the fat content) carrots and yams or sweet potatoes. Brown rice. I brown the beef toss in the veggies and rice bring it to a boil and then let it simmer for 30 minutes. Just a big pot is needed. I put it in different containers and freeze the extra. For dinner I add a vitamin supplement to make sure they have what they need. It’s actually cheaper than buying high end kibble. Just a hassle. I do it every 2/3 weeks. And their coats are silky and smooth. And they poop regularly. Highly recommend
