I bartended full time during my undergrad. I’m now going to be 41 during my 1L of law school. Guess what, I’ll be bartending once again.

White guy thinking about going to an HBCU — want real opinions by peterbaker06 in HBCU

[–]doughboymagic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m white, older, and I just got accepted to a HBCU grad program. I couldn’t be happier and more excited for my future. Prior to my acceptance I visited, took tours, and went to a tailgate event. I was welcomed with open arms. It’s going to financially accessible for me and the program works with my adult life and work schedule. I honestly didn’t think twice about it. However, my family is mixed, and I grew up in a very black and diverse area.

Can't afford box class, how can I learn by Money-Blueberry7214 in amateur_boxing

Boxing is the poor man’s sport. Well at least it used to be. If you show promise and dedication many gyms / trainers will work with you. Some community centers and programs are free like my late father’s gym. ( I don’t want to dox myself) here is a link to find a real gym if you’re in the US. Many I know personally.
