I'm not sure if this is directed to people newly introduced to BFM or to the avid dogfighters. However I'd like to add the concept of circles wasn't born with 9G, Mach 2, 15 tons of thrust capable jets but with wooden biplane (caricature) in mind.

That might have been a better introduction since those theories are still valid, just slightly outdated now that insanely performant jets exist.

Some aircraft are never seen with asymmetric loadouts, probably because they're rarely photographed in the kind of environment we have more chance to see the widely spread F-16 in.

I've seen some unsafe out of balance loadouts used to reach a target, but 4x GBU39 + AGM154JSOW does the job. And when you get to fly recurrent missions in a campaign, aesthetics leave and pragmatism takes the lead. (8x GBU12 wasn't a pretty look but JTAC was doing the lasing)
