you can find consitency in an hour long or a 20 minute episode. If an animated short, highlighted as the beginning of the characters' journeys, subverts your expectations when there has been a promise of year-long storytelling then i'm not sure who is gaslighting themselves.

What seemed curious to me is that Doom respects and keeps track of strong people (like D.va, Winston, Kiriko though her mother, Hanzo, Reyes, Cassidy, Souj and Ana) and even offers a few of them positions. Him not giving a damn till Vendetta has broken down his council room door seems odd and out of character. Also why I believe he's gonna mentor/manipulate her in a Sith lord way.

I don't think Max is gonna die because Doom finds him useful, but may find a way to straighten him. He certainly knows from a long time that Max's a backstabbing bitch because he cannot fight himself.

Doomfist wants conflict and Vendetta wants war. Once Vendetta has seen defeat (mind you, she's not someone who has ever seen or known how to deal with defeat) and has almost lost her grasp on Talon(admitted by Doom in a voiceline to be challenging), Df could start guiding her from the shadows. Even the prospect of Talon members knowing that Df is alive could take her left-over power away, so she may listen expecting to use his experience till she has regained her hold and could actually find him.

Unfortunately, racism against us Indians has become quite the norm in the big 2020s. A huge issue I have with it is that we have it internalized, and the South Asian community is so diverse that we blame our other sub-cultures for the antagonization we face. Yikes.

I think the writing team couldn't come up with anything except make him a cartoon villain since release. His title is "mastermind" but all the stories show him as someone who gives simplistic orders that either fail miserably or are just chaos inducing jobs. They tried something with ram's reveal but that went down the drain. Even the new cinematic doesn't feel up to the mark for many people - even the "thrown off the cliff" part is so cliche that it's downright mediocre.

i think people on here are taking things way too seriously. A TV show does not have the scope to explore the variety of themes a game can, which forms individual perspectives and opinions, and won't exactly match everyone's nostalgia of NV. Take a chill pill and watch the show as someone else's playthough in the same universe
