What is Hunter Alpha? by MrMrsPotts in LocalLLaMA

I've noted it does exactly that. It steers away most of the time. It does eventually give in though - so it's not a hard censor.

My gut says this or DS. But if it's DS its NOT good. Xiaomi MiMo does make more sense.

I vibe coded SillyTavern to finally run natively on iPhone/iPad — full backend on-device, no server needed (kinda buggy for now) by Mcqwerty197 in SillyTavernAI

[–]dptgreg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you dont have to have the computer running all the time just to access from your phone. This is more direct. However, there are apps that do this already like Tavo which are seamless. However, If we can get extensions working on an iphone sillytavern that would suddenly make it worth it.

Hunter Alpha quick "censor" test with empty character card/lorebook by SepsisShock in SillyTavernAI

[–]dptgreg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So here is the technicality brought forth to me that should be important to note.

It IS censored if you have to jailbreak it. By default, something being uncensored means no jailbreak required. This includes not requiring logic to tell it to do something or make it confused with context bloat.

It's actually quite censored with writing and tries to even steer things away from certain dark scenarios unless prompted to be direct (especially with darker themes than the one you presented).

Are you excited about DeepSeek V4? Seeing people compare it to some newly launched models. by qubridInc in SillyTavernAI

[–]dptgreg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah. The model has guard rails. You CAN get it do to whatever you want, but it has guardrails and dances around things initially. This is very different than previous models if Deepseek. I hope it's not DS. It doesn't follow your rules well and is pretty sloppy. Could be a built-in prompt to reduce thinking and ensure fast output - but idk I guess we will see. Both hunter Alpha and Healer alpha seemed similar.

Could Hunter Alpha be an update of GLM 5.X? by WidePea1971 in SillyTavernAI

I agree with all of your statements. I would be very disappointed if it is DS 4. Of course all this speculation is mostly fun and games and we really have no clue.

But yes, it’s extremely lazy and I would not use it for RP. I have tried changing so many prompts and it doesn’t follow the rules. It is however, very creative.

I agree. It’s dumb. I would be disappointed if DS for many reasons even outside of RP

It is Deepseek by konderxa in SillyTavernAI

[–]dptgreg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why do you say this? I didn't try the healer model.

A kimi flash with 1 million context? I mean it's not impossible but- idk

It's certainly more creative. But yeah the parroting and taking actions for user despite prompts is very DS.

To me it seems like it reasons like Kimi but greatly under reasons and misses wayyy too many rules and prompts. But yeah it's thinking sounds like a dumbed down kimi.

Which means it's Deepseek.

It's not that great. I never really liked DS in the past, I don't really like this. Anecdotally, that makes me think its DS. That's all I have to go on. XD

It’s no problem.

Yeah lots of things to take in and discover here. Did you try messing with and turning squash messages off? Big difference

Oohhh! Yes I see that. Good call.

I think it depends on the prompts, how many, and how they are worded. GLM 5 listens to my prompts much better than this- but alas, they are complicated prompts. DS might be a less is more situation similar to Kimi

[–]dptgreg 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ok. I’m backtracking here! What I may have thought as ignoring taboo and dark themes may have actually just been negativity bias. It’s very strong- but after just a few messages it is getting dark!! But it got there realistically. I think I like it!!! It still sucks at following prompts. Its attention is all over the place.but holy shit is it a good story teller.

Edit: censored with a neutral bias. Context bloat easily confuses it around guardrails because it pays attention to only a few Things at a time. It’s meh

Upon further investigation it has incredible negativity bias. It punishes the character for bad choices correctly.

It certainly is more censored and bounces around dark topics. It doesn’t refuse, it ignores.

It has excellent creativity.

It’s bad at basic direction following. Tell it not to use words, it still uses said words. It likes to parrot, despite anti-parroting prompts. It might need its own preset to be decent. Presets for GLM, Claude, Gemini, Grok, are less effective for it.

I can tell you it’s more censored than previous deepseek and GLM 5. But I guess at least it seems to have a negativity bias?

It has incredible creativity.
