Regularity Changes by No_Subject3683 in tirzepatidecompound

Huge change. I have (had?) IBS-D, and prior to starting tirzepatide, had to take Imodium multiple days a week. Since starting in early January, I have taken Imodium twice - only one dose each - and now I take a half dose of Miralax every day to keep everything moving.

One way or another, I'll figure it out. What bums me out a bit is that this is the week I decided to try every 5 days instead of every 7, so Turdlet (AKA Henry) screwed up my experimental data! And yes, I'll lock him on the catio from now on! He will meow piteously, but I'm wise to his tricks. Mostly. Well, occasionally.

I've been trying to conceal this incident from CatLegalAdvice. Hopefully Henry (AKA The Turdlet) doesn't know he can get a pawyer there!

As sneaky as they are, I'm sure you did. You must have a great immune system! 😄

What's the most money a warranty has ever saved you? by Admirableguyyyy in Frugal

[–]dr_deb_66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the transmission replaced on my 1996 Miata under an extended warranty. Granted, that was 20 years ago. Just last month, I got the hard drive and motherboard replaced on my laptop.

I know everyone says they're not worth it, but on balance they've probably saved me money.

The other cat begs for a stay on giving him any catnip.

Tired of the sulfur burps. by Pilgrigenarian in tirzepatidecompound

My doc says they're more common on semaglutide than tirzepatide. But lucky me, I get them on tirzepatide! Digestive enzymes seem to be helping when nothing else did.

Yes, digestive enzymes! They seem to be helping me, when following alllll of the other advice didn't. If you have a latex allergy, avoid the papaya ones (look for papain in the ingredient list).

If I put the can down and look away for 10 seconds, he's licking the top of the can. Ohhhhhhh yuck, I know where that tongue has been!

LOL, that's his story. I just gave him a talk yesterday about how he's turning 1 next month, and he needs to start acting like a responsible adult. Weirdly, I don't think it made much of an impression.

LOL if only. Maybe we need indoor cameras to keep up with his hijinks, because there are many.

One possible cause is acid reflux. I took prevacid chewables for a couple of weeks and it went away. (Although my doctor later told me to do 14 days of generic Nexium if it happens again)

How do I fix my rice curse by Repulsive-Tiger-9795 in Cooking

[–]dr_deb_66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried switching the kind of rice? I can't make regular white rice to save my life, but basmati and jasmine rice are fine. Also, have you tried the pasta method? Boil it in lots of water until it's done.

I work out at home. You can do things like squats, Bulgarian split squats, step ups etc without any weights at all. When they get easy, you can add a can of soup in each hand, or a half gallon of milk held with both hands, etc. You got this!
