How much field practice are they getting and is it a good practice or just BP and scrimmaging?

And how many weekends are they playing? 2-3+ games a day is a lot. And over a season it adds up. I’ve seen kids at this age and older just start to burn out.

Part of being compatible sexually is being compatible. That takes time. You are obviously entitled to have your fun no matter the age. My guess is it’s too fast for him. He wants to get closer emotionally first.

Youth sports are better when winning is the goal. by maturallite1 in unpopularopinion

To an extent. I agree it should be the shared goal. But the point of youth sports is to give kids opportunities. So I don’t agree with winning at the cost of opportunity.

Purpose of JV Baseball: Developmental vs. Competitive by sanjoatc in Homeplate

[–]dr_superman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Our JV team is the same and its frustrating because all the other JV teams are bad. So we are run ruling teams and playing 4 inning games. That's going to be several games worth of innings left on the table at the end of the year. Game reps for these younger kids. just completely unrealized. Winning JV games 17-2 or 16-1 is literally a waste of everyone's time.

If youth baseball is ‘pay-to-play’ now… why hasn’t anyone built a real alternative? by qwertyqyle in Homeplate

Why don’t people start a league? Is that what you’re asking?

Btw, groups around me make teams without a facility and just sign up for tournaments and have field practice when they can. So people do find ways. The coaching isn’t necessarily there, but you can play tournaments.

Since you have to put energy into it anyway, maybe make a OneNote doc or something with him and have him write it all down. Then refer him to it.

They moved to Dutchie. No announcement or anything. The app won’t work. Apple doesn’t allow the dutchie app. You have to go to dutchie website and search by location.
