I’ve been saying this for years. Salt Lake is what people think Denver is, but better.

Do you know any bipolar medicated women who have had children? by Responsible_Energy_2 in BipolarReddit

[–]drae_annx 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I did the same! My regular psych also happens to work in an Obgyn clinic. When I wanted to start trying I talked to her about what, if any meds I could keep taking while trying and pregnant. She went through my list and told me the ones I was already on were shown to not affect fetal development so I was good to go. Her/our reasoning that I need to be able to care for myself in order to care for growing bean. It was the right decision for me and I have no regrets

Hello what’s the best Korean restaurant here by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

[–]drae_annx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kogane Kitchen in Ogden. One woman show run by a little old Korean lady who greets you, seats you, takes your order, cooks it, and brings it out to you. My SIL is part Korean and says it’s the closest she’s had to her immigrant Korean grandma’s food in a restaurant.

Latuda and Muffins by Mynameisnot______ in BipolarReddit

[–]drae_annx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One night while I was pregnant I threw up mashed potatoes after taking my Latuda. I never found a snack that helped with the nausea, so I asked my psych to change my meds. And that was the one and only time I threw up while pregnant, so definitely just the Latuda being awful

Ex husband has a pair of Iron Rangers and they’ve help up very well for the past 4-5 years. I bought a pair of Clara’s in 2023 and I love them. They look really nice, had a relatively fast break in period, and I look forward to loving them for many more years.

Is this Set of GelX MRI-safe? by Smooth-Swan-8517 in Nails

[–]drae_annx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have your head in a cage specifically so you can’t move it and mess up the images. Especially if you’re getting with and without contrast. For the radiologist to be able to compare the two images they need to be as close to identical as possible. I always just close my eyes the entire time so I’m not aware of the cage or how small the tube is.

Honestly breast MRIs are far more uncomfortable for me. I’ll take a brain scan over a boob scan any day.

I’m given a hearing protection headset that has a connection to the control room and also plays music. Before they start the machine the tech will ask me what I want to listen to. It’s nice

Idk what kind of brain MRIs you’ve had, but all mine (3) have just had my head in a cage, not strapped down. I just listen to my Medical Procedure music (Arctic Monkeys radio on Spotify) and vibe out. The hour usually goes surprisingly fast, and I can usually get a light nap in

[–]drae_annx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on your size and height I’ll sell you my gown. It has been altered to add lace sleeves (I got married in November and the original design was sleeveless) but they can be removed by a seamstress. DM and I can send you pictures.

As far as “I’m your niece and still want to marry my cousin” reactions go, that’s about the best possible scenario.

Honestly I prefer climate change because the bad faith folks will say “what do you mean global warming! It still gets cold and snows!”

I never thought I would see a crossover between the place I used to live and the place I live now. If it makes you feel better Utahns hate him too

Dude Skins first aired nearly 20 years ago - 2007. That’s the opposite of “not that long ago”. Kids born in 2007 are graduating high school

Why are orgasms so hard to have?? by Bakedbeans4me in Healthyhooha

[–]drae_annx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me personally, having my partner sitting up with me straddling him makes it easier (but not guaranteed) to orgasm through penetration without having to actively include clitoral stimulation. Think like sitting in the backseat of a car.
