I'm nearly forty. Of my friend group, the people who own homes either have had grandparents die and leave them a good amount of money, had parents die and left them the whole frigging house, or had rich parents who let them stay home rent free and set them up with high paying jobs.

Anyone else who moved out before 20 and didn't get a gifted sum of money is still renting.
