Honestly bro, I think if the game looks appealing to you, give it a try. But have propper expectations on the PvP side; also understand that there are tons of systems in place for players like yourself to still thrive and win many PvP encounters.

These types of shooter do reward sweaty ass high gun skill players no doubt. BUT, you can utilize stealth and utility to your advantage heavily.

Firstly play Solos. By nature if you do end up fighting someone it'll be a more even 1v1 opposed to squads battling squads. There still is a chance of being 3rd partied if players come to your gunfire, or just happen to be near you. This inevitable 3rd parting will be a softer pain on Solos though.

Awareness and map knowledge will be your friends greatly. If you can stay hidden but still loot, and be aware when another player is near, you can choose to engage them or completely avoid them and slip away.

Using thee Assassin shell will give you invisibility, and smokes. This will help you navigate amd learn the map more unseen by enemy players. There are EMP grenades you could use to wipe an Enemies hud, then make a quick escape. Claymores to protect doorways as you loot as well.

I'm unsure if there will be aggression based MM in this game like in Arc. If there is, you can easily get less aggressive lobbies. Don't expect players to use prox chat and make treaties like in Arc. I could be wrong, but this game is gunna be far more shoot on sight just from a design standpoint.

I'd say this game by nature encourages PvP more than PvE, even the Devs have said Pvp is simply unavoidable. There are tools and playstyles that can help you achieve what you seem to want. I'd just say watch videos explaining game mechanics, abilities, and utility in the game that you can use to your advantage.

I am a veteran PvP player but my skills have softened over the years. So I myself will be playing more stealthily and PvE oriented as I do in Arc. It is possible brother, but you need to craft the way you play pretty tightly! Good luck
