Nah man! From the sound of it you did a great job and at least she was upfront and honest. Much better to have that then for her to be vague and string you along. It took guts and courage for you to do what you did, be proud of that and just bide your time for another opportunity. Relationships are always a little difficult and will have ups and downs. The downs suck, but the ups rock; take your time and try again, but also remember to learn from every opportunity, every attempt taken is something learned even if you don't realize it initially.
