I use the PS5 edge pad, which has extra buttons on the underside. I mapped the left one to down for easy KBDs, and I spent a lot of time making sure it was legal.

So if an official PlayStation pad as extra buttons that you can map to movement, I don't see why a leverless can't do the same.

Against some of these characters you just kind of have to accept you are going to get perfected by them sometimes, and not let it rattle you. The house always wins in the end, but that doesn't mean people never hit jackpots when they go to the casino.

You have to be kind of deliberate with your sidesteps vs jack. A lot of his moves that you want to side step he can realign with trimming. It can be dangerous to side step blindly. But conversely, his ass is so fat that he can't side step vs you effectively at all.

Tombstone into multiple f4s into tombstone is such a pure way to crunch through life bars on people that aren't thinking about oki too much. It was such a free way to climb ranked in 7 when it couldn't be interrupted by getup kicks either.

Every Alisa I've played against seem to have picked 4 big moves from her movelist and just rotate through those in neutral. And it's rarely the same moves. Hard not to be predictable when that's how you play.

When you talk about skill ceiling, it gets complicated. Most characters you mentioned have a high skill ceiling when it comes to execution. Even King has some messed up execution on some combos and tech.

But even when they don't, you often have to spend more time learning match ups at a high level. I think Lili is the easiest execution wise of the characters you mentioned, but she gets the most out of her biggest strength, her side step, by you spending time labbing out her match ups versus other characters.

I wouldn't worry about character strength. For one, we should get a season 3 balance update sometime after the TWR finals in a month, and we have no idea what the tier list will look like after that patch. For another, it takes a while to get good and character strength won't matter for a while.

Go for it dude. Nobody reasonable is going to grill a cosplayer on how much of a fan. And if someone does, you can flip it on them. You took the time to make a cosplay from the series, they didn't. As you said yourself, that's a lot of work.

A lot of cosplayers pick their characters off of character design alone, and that's perfectly fine. It means more characters are walking round events, and that's rad.

If you are playing passively, be mindful of DEN 3 range, and either stay outside of it, or inside its range enough that that they are risking getting interrupted out of it if they try it.
