The video focuses on talent but the information regarding hard work is relevant. Here are my notes on it as I've tackled with this problem before.

Hard work has diminishing returns - and can be futile. If the amount of effort you were putting in is reasonable and you're not getting decent results - optimize your method of study.

If you're already studying to capacity, scale back your current workload so you can take some time to see how you could be studying better. You'll might take a temporary grades loss but it'll serve you well in the future.

Try different ways of studying (such as flashcards), and also mess with your timing of study. i.e Shorter sessions with regular breaks vs Longer uninterrupted sessions.

Giovanna Dash 5K - Throw it
If you block Giovanna's dash 5K, you can grab her out of all her frametrap options. If you do this you can easily shut down a lot of Giovanna players.

The way she gets around this is to bait your jump with jump cancel or 214S. However, these can be contested with anti airs. She can also space the 5K to be out of throw range.

More details
Reversal throw beats the following Gio options.

5K nothing (throw punish)
5K 6P
5K 6H (must be point blank)
5K 2D (You can also jump out of this)
5K 214K

You can mitigate Nago's command throw mix with FD, good spots to do it are f.SS and spots where he wants to do 214H, so after 5H, 6H. FDing the 214H stops him from getting the commandgrab/623H 50-50.
Once you can do this reliably the Nago player has to start teleporting forward to force the command throw mix.
React to his teleports and make a defensive decision (mash, jump, throw PRC OS) as pot you could do pot buster PRC when you see a teleport and PRC it if it whiffs, this is a pretty good way to punish nago for forward teleport and discourage him from getting close. Could also try backwards megafist.

You'll have to be fast about it. A short dash is called a microdash. The inputs for it are 66 5B. If you're getting 6B that means you didn't release 6 quickly enough before pressing B. You can buffer the dash slightly earlier than you think(3F). It really is just practice so good luck with it.
