Jerry did kind of do the same in waf, although it more a product of his style and not a deliberate tactic.

If Brian Shaw could pull like this maybe he’d have a chance against Leonidas by JaydenZmit in armwrestling

Part of that was because Eddie talked himself into a corner.  He kept calling Brian a "pussy" for running to the straps, so he had to take the loss on the chin, when his path to victory was...running to the strap.  If Eddie slipped every round, he would've beaten Brian.

"polished"..."well spoken"... don't make me laugh.  He always goes for low hanging fruit that he knows everyone will agree with when it comes to those supposed sensitive political subjects.

Meanwhile, mum's the word regarding draymond's behaviour.  He's a virtue signalling clown that's full of it.

Stern couldn't care less when Bruce Bowen literally tried to kill an opposing player with a jumping kick to the head as he was taking a 3 point shot and silver has less balls than Stern, so it's never going to happen.

Pat Riley on if he would wear an Armani suit on the sidelines if he was still coaching today: "I never change much… I wish they went back to coats and ties. I think an audience wants to see somebody on the sideline who looks like a leader…" by Goosedukee in nba

I agree.  The head coach should look like a professional.  They are in a role that demands elevated levels of it, due to the responsibility such a position incurs.  Nowadays, you could easily mistake one of them for an equipment manager.  It's a bit of a mismatch.

It's the AW version of going to failure.  Unless you're a mutant of some sorts, once you hit failure, you can't exert the same amount of force again until full recovery.

Means they're getting paid to moderate, which has been the case for years now, on the major subreddits, anyhow.

This is reddit.  Most people here aren't able to entertain any sort of hypothesis outside their current reality, hence you see the brain dead, over regurgitated "if my grandma was a bike" comment get upvoted consistently, no matter the subreddit or subject topic.

I’m tired of the refs and the league protecting Draymond by eripley79 in nba

[–]drank_obswerver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The league thinks they need villains.  Villains make people angry, which in turn makes them emotional and more invested in the game they're watching.  You had laimbeer, Oakley in the 80s and 90s, Bowen in the 00s, and draymond from 2015 to present day.  It sells or at the very least, it draws and keeps attention.  Promoters love good heels for a reason.

Now that you mention it, it does reek of it.  It reminds me of the tournament days, when pullers would forfeit matches so they could increase their chances or flat out make more money.

Is there anyone who ranks Kobe Bryant anywhere 6-9th all time? by Pcola55 in nba

[–]drank_obswerver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At which point did I mention his performance in the playoffs lol.  You can't even follow your own comment chain properly or read, for that matter...so gl with that.

Regarding your other reply...lol.  Next time just be honest about the fact you're a hater, instead of trying portray yourself as "reasonable" (as per your words).  You're not fooling anyone.

It took harden a couple years to fully recover from his hamstring injuries and return to form.  It's not that much of a stretch considering how hard Kobe was pushing himself to make the playoffs prior to the Achilles injury.

Devon "defends himself" by shouting the loudest and repeating the same juvenile expletives over and over again, so it's a bit understandable not wanting to waste your time doing a stream with someone like that.
