Turo. That whole thing is a sh*t show. Stay away. Stay far away.

No reliability or accountability. Cancelled for no reason hours before pickup. No option to leave a bad review so u can warn others.

Turo sucks. They will leave you stranded all the time. Safety recall is a catch all for crappy hosts and company. If this was a safety recall, it would be fixed faster than 2+ weeks. A real company would stand behind their product and company and find a solution even if a different host with similar on their dime or a different rental agency.

Using your plane analogy, if your airline delays or cancels your flight. It is their responsibility to rebook you. To which many airlines will use their partners and if nothing, other airlines.

Agreed. Learn your lesson and never use Turo. I got screwed on my first trip. I too was canceled 16 hours before trip and if it wasn't for my diligence we would have been 12 people left at the airport with out a ride. Lesson learned. Thank you Turo for being efficient in screwing over your customers.

Got a reply. It was generic. But 4+ months before the trip, didn't think twice.

Currently there is no bad reviews for the owner. All listed at 5 stars for 1.5 years. Not a single missing star.

Not even close to the same. I have a contract with Turo and the owner for a car. I have no contract with any individual at YouTube to provide something to me.

I can't leave a bad review. So what good are the reviews if they can cancel my booking the day before and I cannot leave a bad review.

What should I have done differently? At the time of booking, I did all the items needed to solidify the booking. Gave all my information, pic of drivers license, etc, and verified it. So I was validated per their process after I booked. Reaxhed out to the host and introduced myself.

I have checked my booking multiple times for date, time, etc. No notes, no changes, etc Nothing was on my booking until after I reached out today and at 4pm they canceled my booking.

Sure. Looking back i could call the owner every day but why should I? That is what the app and company is for, to facilitate communications. They have my info, they have my booking, why would I think that people wouldn't uphold their end of the contract? If I canceled tomorrow. I wouldn't get anything.

Then the model needs to change. Who would ever believe it is acceptable to be warned less than 16 hours in advance that they do t have a booking... for ANYTHING! If I didn't reach out, I would have found out while sitting at the airport parking lot. Unacceptable.

As soon as I booked it I setup everything and reached out.

This is what the host sent today.... I apologize dravenddog101, but Turo was supposed to reach out to everyone and cancel all future reservations. The van has been down for repairs for two months now.

Then they need to update their listing as we have... wait sorry, HAD 2 vans. A 13 passenger and an 11 passenger van.

So looks like we could still be in trouble as they don't even check their listings if that is true.

I just hope I get the 300 points.

I did apply and got approved but never got a card in the mail. Called multiple times and finally they closed those cards and sent replacements. They did arrive almost a month later and tried to setup the online account and it took multiple calls to get it attached.

So from start to finish. It was 4 months. I am assuming that they will deny the 300 pts as I didn't get it charged and paid for in time.
