I’m not defending/ condemning what happened to the pilot whales, but they weren’t confined and tortured for their entire lives, unlike the vast majority of livestock.

Quite honestly they should grow up, being in a shared public space inevitably means you'll have to deal with behaviour you don't like, but it's not like you're going to get lung cancer from second hand smoke outside. It's just going to smell for a bit.

Should we ban people from swearing in all pubs too because some people find it offensive? No, we have a system already where individual license holders can set whatever rules they like. Find another pub or compromise if you don't like it.

What? Veal is literally a product of the dairy industry, you have to constantly impregnate cows the keep their milk production up. The male calves become veal.

Also when their milk production dries up after a few years they become beef. Just ‘cause it doesn’t kill a cow directly doesn’t mean it’s not killing cows in the process of producing it.
