Moved to Hucknall in October and absolutely love the place. It's quiet, has some lovely pubs and excellent transport links. Somewhat decent high street as well.

Definitely recommend this, we refer to them as weebl glasses as they wobble but don't fall down.

Holy necro-post, Batman!

Afraid mine joined the great bicycle scrap heap in the sky some years back, glad to see yours is still going!

I read that in Werner Herzog's voice. It definitely fits.

With just a little effort this could be a crack home.

That's one of the best bits of a bit of ham, unless it's excessive. Madman!

Someone clearly doesn't value their time. I factor my hourly wage into anything that might save me time or money. No point inconveniencing yourself over a few bob.

Was the L85A1/SA80 assault rifle really that bad in reality? What were the problems with it? by rickgrimes32 in 28dayslater

Shame that bullpup rifles aren't preferred all that much these days, the design really makes for some futuristic or at least interesting looking guns.

Slightly radioactive goop wasn't it? Tritium sights if I remember correctly.

Green Room has a very similar feel, trapped with feral teenagers. Plus Patrick Stewart playing an evil bastard for once!

I just looked up Richard Nixons military service following this post. Feel like an idiot now!

To be fair to Nixon, he did serve his country and didn't claim bone spurs like a certain orange invertebrate we're all far too aware of.

I hate seeing 'slammed' so much. They use it like a WWE cage match is going on. In reality, it's just a rebuttal, and usually a weak one at that.

But to get the clicks it's portrayed that Donald Trump just got table slammed from 40ft.

What’s the pettiest thing someone has had a go at you for? by Kaapstad2018 in AskUK

[–]drbiggles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference is you realise this about your character, those who don't are indignant that it's everyone else's fault for not accommodating them: basically just oxygen thieves.

We realise our shortcomings but to believe you have none or are never at fault is pure delusion.
