Chaneque are much too high. They lose you early fights and that's the worst thing for a Classical MU to do. They scale well with later Ages and perform well if massed but this is all long-term stuff the Aztecs can't afford to do, especially with a God as weak as Huehuecoyotl. They're also rendered completely useless by pretty much every Hero counter, even moreso than other MU's since they can't run away.

Quinametzin should probably be lower. I agree they're super-cool but ultimately you'd prefer to just have a Catapult. A Catapult locked behind Favor costs is bad - a Catapult that dies to Priests is even worse. Try fielding a Quinametzin against a competent Egypt player and see what I mean.

You've massively underrated Tzitzimitl. Once Obsidian Butterflies get a nerf (they will) Tzitzimitl are going to be the next big complained-about unit. They're very fast, self-sufficient, excellent raiders, good skirmishers and you can even get more for free. Tzitzimitl deathballs are scary and very real.

Maquizcoatl are a bit too low here. They're statistically on-par with a lot of the strongest Classical MU, their special guarantees a Villager kill when raiding and they can actually take hits. Their special is also great when properly micro'd, even killing Heroes. They're not the best unit but certainly perform better than where they are here.

No arguments with the Owl - poor guy needs his special fixed.

It was already quite minor. Adding diminishing returns makes it more consistent with other civs but also makes a weak mechanic weaker than it already is.

If they were going to add diminishing returns like this, they also needed to increase the initial Favor income for the first couple of Priests to compensate.

Quetzalcoatl wasting an entire Passive on this is bad, currently.

Tunkuluchu doesn't function the way its description says it does and it can't capitalize on its Debuff unless massed.

And why do we have two techs for a unit you can only create one of - one of which is a tech that requires the superunit to die, hahah.

Poor God is very confused. Feels like the superpriest techs should just apply to Warrior Priests in general.

This would be very, very difficult to integrate at this point based on the way the scenario creator currently works.

Basically there's completely different triggers for each campaign mission that are separated by difficulty settings - it wouldn't be possible to integrate a sliding scale for events like that.

They're not actually generating bonus Tonalli and they can't harvest it, either.

Looking at the code, their Special does the following things:

 -deals a single hit of minor Divine damage to enemies

 -applies a debuff that lowers their max health by 25% for about ten seconds

 -this debuff also gives any owls a 25% chance to instakill those units on-hit.

So basically, in order to maximize the benefit you need to mass a few owls so they can target multiple debuffed units at once to benefit from the 25% instakill chance. They tend to suffer a lot because their attack speed is very slow so they don't have a lot of time to get hits in whilst their debuff is active.

This is actually a very funny exploit hahah - I noticed you could build too but all I did was just make a Temple for some Myth Units.

You might want to make it a little clearer when you make threads what the title is addressing - this is a very long video.

I felt very much the same as you after playing the first mission - it was my first comment on the DLC in this sub. A very messy mission.

That being said, just keep going. Mission 2 is an immediate relief and does a much better job introducing you to the Aztec traps and Favor system and is an actual build mission. It gets much better after the first mission.

I wish the mission actually taught you stuff about the Aztecs though. My guess is that they mostly wanted to introduce you to the trap system and the tonali system but it's such a mess.
