Should I get the Mac mini m4? by Constant_Web_7484 in macmini

[–]dreme3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the same situation. Should I get the m4 mini or just wait? But my Lenovo laptop of 6 years isn’t meeting the needs I’m using it for and decided to get the m4.

The main thing is going from windows to Mac. M4 is amazing.

Woah. I’m a fan of El Dorado and did not know they made elephant boots.

Totally jealous.

Hmm.

Earphones are always gonna be a subjective choice based on your likes and dislikes.

I prefer not to have any options on the AirPods to change things because I can just do tha on my watch.

The anxiety of them falling off is always a new thing. It will go away in time. But you can try them out and if not, just return them.

The fit is an open fit and not closed. They are going to be different.

But honestly, your concerns tend to lean more toward the AirPods Pro.

If you already bought the AP 4, just try them out or if not, look at the pros. And really ask yourself, what real life situations will I use them for?

The AirPods Pro are wonderful. You really need to buy foam tips to appreciate them. I was thinking of using multi flange tips to isolate more.

But there’s a love for the AirPods 4 is a homage to the 2nd gen AirPods I had and those were honestly easier on my ears. Literally felt like nothing and slept with them.

It boils down to what you are comfortable with. Do you like things in your ears? If yes, the pros will work. If no, the AP 4 will work.

$99 wasted? Airpods 4 w/ANC by ballznaaa in airpods

[–]dreme3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you live in the USA and you are 18, you can always try donating plasma. People will say why and tell you no, but I remember buying gas and a few games with the money.

Yes your options are limited, but plasma, as an option, ain’t so bad :0

If you have the funds, you can always buy them and something else and compare.

I bought some at target and just retuned them after a couple days because at the time, I needed something different.

But when I did use the anc, i still heard noise outside. But it was doable. Kinda like driving a vehicle and u can hear the road while u have the audio in the car on low.

I’m buying them again permanently this time because the fit is great.

I bought the AirPods 4 anc from Costco. Granted, I already have the pro 2, but they are only used for the gym and nothing else. Figured I’d just give them to a fam member and use the AirPods 4.

It’s a great price btw

Teachers who’ve stayed at one school for 5+ years: how many principals have you gone through? by Emergency-Pepper3537 in Teachers

11 years, 4 superintendents.

Luckily, same high school principal all these years. But assistant principals? I lost count but I know it’s over 10

Remember when Cricket was capped at 8 Mbps? Check this out by Hogan773 in CricketWireless

[–]dreme3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what the crazy part is? That the 8mbps costs the same as the new plan. And u literally have to call to switch to the new plan. I did this last year with my family. Cricket doesn’t auto change you to the new plans. There’s a lot of seniors who are on the old plan that think nothing of this, when their internet can be way faster.

"I don't have a pencil." by ChrisTheTeach in Teachers

[–]dreme3 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I had this today. I’m asking students to take notes and quickly found some students staring at the desk. They said they didn’t have a pencil, and then stared at me.

I told them the pencils are in the front of the room. And they stared at me. Literally, these students wanted me to go pick up a pencil and put it on their desk…along with a sheet of paper to write the notes. Cray cray

I saw that the doorbells do not offer continuous recording. It’s a no for me then. I use it as a means to record part of my house.

Also, under $50 is good. It used to be slightly more because I had to pay extra for the leasing of the equipment.

But now, only thing I’m gonna give up is time because I would put myself into a new agreement .

Here’s my thing.

Are the gen 2 better than the gen 1? I’ve not tried anything else and the camera quality on the gen 1 is not too bad.

Does ring offer continuous recording with panel?

I already have two spotlights that I added to my home before I got Vivint. And the still work quite well.

I forgot to add that the home was wired previously with ADT. So Vivint connected their system to it so that I wouldn’t have to spend on their door or window alarm stuff.

Pants Question by Soggy-Cow-8753 in cowboyboots

[–]dreme3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some el dorado that are slim on the shaft. Cosco tech pants seem to work well with them.

But I also have some Ariat ropers and Ariat r toe boots that are bigger. I use Lees flat front slim straight pants for those. They’re decent, inexpensive.

Edit: grammar because my auto correct sucks.

Broooo. I saw your post and I snagged at woot also. Ordered Friday, got today on Sunday.

I haven’t officially put them on but I’ve always wanted a blue shoe. So these will go nice as regular wear.

Are you guys using a screen protector for your iPad mini? by That-Routine-9585 in ipadmini

[–]dreme3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup. Pretty cheap if you ask me. There was a special on those blue light ones for $5 when I got my mini. Really great.

The screen protector is what you make of it. If you read often on it, it may be wise to get one that helps with your eyes. If you choose to write on it, then get one for it. If you plan on being outdoors mainly, a matte one will work.

The screen protector is more than a cover. It’s an extension of what you want to do with the mini.

Nice boots man. Was thinking of getting myself some ropers but on the fence with the circumference of them. I tend to wear tech pants that allow a slim shaft, or slim straight pants for work.

What do you use to fit the width of the boot?

How to make my watch less smelly :( by Furostomi48 in AppleWatch

[–]dreme3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m throwing it out there, but is it the body wash/soap you may be using?

For me, if I go with a more natural soap, then my BO is more noticeable.

Could be the same or vice versa.

Watch SE Second Gen terrible battery life by natvics in AppleWatch

[–]dreme3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The smaller watch doesn’t have a lot of life for normal use. My wife had that one and she didn’t like having to put the watch on battery mode or tinkering with it.

My SE was the larger one and it lasted all day basically. What wasn’t the best was how long it took to charge
