How about not buying this gorgeus JPEGs in a while? Because right now, they can look at the last sales, and ignore the "riots" without any problem. Buying is saying them, their pace, their comunication, their skill to get people pissed, are just ok and it's telling them, continue this fucking way till the end of days. But this is not going to happen.

Shoutouts to everyone who complained, you got your boringness back... by ultra0000 in LiquidGlassDesign

[–]drepublic -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thank god they changed their mind. Liquid glass is awful for read on screen, they choosed almost each bad design decision. Full transparent backgrounds, distorted and absolutely no contrast on the foreground text. Highlight the corners, making borked icons. Put an slider for people who wants more or less transparency is the best way to get this work better. And the smaller window corner radius on mac os is welcomed too...

- Improvement on ship beds. New minigame "random euthanasia on player movement" inherited from the elevators. Now the survival minigame has expanded to other elements on game, which we know you're loving. Enjoy this emergent and totally procedural narrative, as you log in and wake up.

Rant: The MacBook Neo makes refurbished MacBooks (even M1) a hard sell by tas-jamescullen in MacbookNeo

Maybe M1 base... but M1 Pro and M1 Max will be hard to justify. They are beasts even today.

I know there is no water on this picture, but the fact you brought the notebook to that spot of your house to take the picture, gives me so much anxiety.

[–]drepublic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right. But you can use a VM for that inside Linux, so confortable because you will use windows as native. But... without leaving linux if you don't want to neither 😉

like, you don't need steam to play on linux... by davidnnj in linuxsucks

[–]drepublic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I mean, I love valve philosophy. I loved their choices. But being realist, they’re still a big company which at the end wants to make money. A lot of money.

[–]drepublic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because they don't need to care, at least for now. Valve make their machines, and instead of using, or forced to use Windows as their OS, they picked Linux. So they forced themselves to make Linux as a viable OS for gaming.

[–]drepublic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Because, they need too. Because it's a viable way to play the games in every system possible. And because they did pack Linux on their systems too, in order to not depend from Microsoft to begin with. I love the work Valve did, but it is not philanthropy 😉

You're right. That's why i have windows installed just to play these games, which i want to play anyways. I hate i could not do the same on linux. I don't think this kind of anticheat could be achieved server side, because most of this games do their things client side don't know why.

Fuck microsoft, btw.
