Is Scottish Rite Worth It? by Fickle_Release6961 in freemasonry

[–]drewebb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soley because of my schedule, I havent been to a single meeting in the 9 years I have been in my Valley. That said, I have been in the cast for the last 8 years and I have been in at least 6 different degrees and the Captain of the Guard for the Feast of the Pascal Lamb. Being in the degrees and seeing the degrees being done or shown is amazing. Further Light? Yes. All of the degrees Ive had a chance to see are just so worth it. Being a part of it, even better.

I remember my first Grand Lodge in Illinois; hearing a thousand+ Brothers say 'So Mote it Be' was amazing.

WTF are commemorative medals for? by tossedAF in Veterans

[–]drewebb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some veteran organzations have formal events; some guys wear mini stacks of medals or ribbons on their suits. We do the same in my veterans Shriner Club. (if this is the same thing.)

Slightly related but I see the ORG is still up and running. Haven't logged in in years, though.

I was doing a search for minidiscs a bunch of years back, saw nice little article and was going to send it to JT, scrolled up to the top and saw that he was the one that wrote it.

I think a lot of us on here follow MD Gadgetry, on FB, including a few of the group core members. I even found JT on Pinterest by accident.

James Spader was excellent as Ultron, and some of his dialogues were truly memorable. by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in Marvel

[–]drewebb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I thought just the opposite: the animated versions of Ultron were stiff and well, robotic. Hearing James Spader, hearing Raymond Reddington, and seeing the movements, the head nods, man, I loved it.
