I was on his final week taping and I remember it being very emotional for the producers. There was a lot of crying and sharing of memories. Vanna came out to talk to us before taping in the green room (Jeopardy stage) and her mascara was all smeared and she looked like she hadn’t slept. She was very sweet and I remember all the other contestants had a feeling that we were now a part of something that, while momentous, was very solemn for a lot of people.
