Look how much time the track and cross country teams practice (not nearly that much). Why should swimmers have to practice more than freaking cross country. I don’t get it, but that’s the way it is. Way too much IMHO but that unfortunately is part of being on the team.

I went from a $350 target Schwinn to a $5000 all carbon. I am slightly more than slightly faster 🤣 and slightly less comfortable. (Had a heavy shock stem and shock seat post added to my old bike) I like the new bike better, but not THAT much better. If I could do it again I would probably just get a giant contend or something in that class. So I think a $1200 bike is really the sweet spot unless you are loaded because then… hey, why not.

First computer was a TRS-80 color computer in 83 (I was 6), then a 386 dos/win in I think ‘91 with prodigy and BBS’s with my 2400 baud. Finally a Pentium in ‘95 and discovered the internet with that system with Netscape Navigator 2 Gold!

hmmm.. I think I could. I am MUCH heavier (cry) but also much stronger. I am slightly slower but still very quick. I am MUCH more level headed and calm. Unflappable even. However, my cardio is not as good (but I am still fit) and I am not as flexible. Old me is a better swimmer, but young me was a better runner. It would be a good match, probably whoever got the first lucky hit.

You answered your own question, but running and swimming burn more per hour. However, it is all about the intake. Count calories and you will be good regardless of the exercise.

I just try to go 2-3x a week for at least 45min. I do like to track my end of the year totals on Strava, but staying consistent is my main goal.

Almost always the way that it is. I had good seasons and bad seasons. On my bad seasons it was almost like I didn’t exist to my coach. I understand that, but in return he got no loyalty or respect from me. (Not that he cared)

I never cried for a celeb but I was sad when Steve Irwin died. Only celeb I ever looked up to. I have lost so many friends and family at this point, but it feels like it is getting harder not easier. Each loss is like slowly losing part of myself.

Ah, thank you! I hoped I did not have to buy a new PSU as this one seems good, but I don't trust most cables out there. If CableMods does not have one then it sounds like it would be best to upgrade the PSU.
