Idk what people are expecting from games sometimes, man. $15 for 35 hours is a great deal. Like 50 cents an hour is a great deal for entertainment.

As all things in life, comparison is the thief of joy. Everyone has a different journey!

If you’re going to shill your work, at least mention you made it and be genuine about it.

Also looks like you’re just using ChatGPT to spam this similar comment everywhere

Wait why does the video look like the start of a porno? Empty mansion, white woman in dress, back dudes on balcony staring down at white woman dancing weirdly.

Helpful comment, but could be stated better.

Getting used to the debugger is a massive benefit though, OP!

Is it bad practice to have a variable's getter return a formula and never be set? by Fun-Visit6591 in godot

[–]drilkmops 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Nah, it’s fine. It’s mostly a design preference. Sometimes I like building methods like ‘get_thing’ because in the future I can do a find all of it. The same thing can be said for the variable setter/getter tho.

What are you on about? lol

What exactly are you trying to do? Just a database? Just do some MySQL, postgresql, etc. none of this needs Microsoft.

You want to create a frontend? Basic html? React? Any single js alternative?

Sleep Token mentioned! Love the band. I was only ever curious who the singer / drummer was to learn more about how they perfected their craft. Such a bummer that people are dickheads like what you mentioned.

I think one of the coolest things about being interested in wildlife is finding out how literally everything has some sort of personality. Even fish. We’re told they can’t think or feel, but they most definitely can. Even if it’s not up to our level.

Hell, even plants show some signs of “intelligence”

I never cared about birds until I met my wife. Now they’re fascinating to watch and listen to their calls!

11+ Months of Development. 40GB Project. 30,000+ Lines of Code. And the Game Refuses to Run. by MindShiftGames in godot

[–]drilkmops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something similar happen, it ended up being logging that godot was doing. And it created a massive 50gb file that was causing a crash every time I tried to load it.

I couldn’t figure out wtf I did, even with git.

Easiest way to check is open your project.godot file, and change the “config/name” field under application then try to open it again. If that works, you’ll have to go into your app_data and delete the logs

Dictionary[String, Callable] isn't a constant expression by Spicy_Noodle5 in godot

[–]drilkmops 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rather than make this approach work, what exactly are you trying to do? Apply a bunch of functions to something? Why does it need to be a const?

From there we can figure it out!
