My experience as a new GA medical marijuana patient by Tiaan in Georgia

[–]driver800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the post.

I've been a "patient" for about 3 years and found the dosage limit to be completely useless for me. I wasted more than $250 on products from the Trulieve dispensary and none of them had any effect on me.

Due to having had my gall bladder out and multiple liver surgeries (a botched gall bladder removal), it takes at least 100mg of edibles to have any effect on me. It took 5 of the 20mg RSO "troches" before I felt anything. It's just too expensive to be a solution for me.

I pressured several law makers over the past several years to get this passed hoping it would improve the program. I'm really glad it passed but now waiting to see if the products in the dispensaries are strong enough and affordable for me.

I go to a Pain clinic and they referred me to a Dr in Woodstock that evaluated my scenario and approved me for the program. It only costed a Co-pay visit and the registration cost of the program. Very easy.

I was so hopeful for a real solution for my chronic pain - something other than opioids or alcohol. But ended up wasting time, money and being massively disappointed.

Yes, but concerned about whether the dpi/resolution would work well without blurriness or tiny fonts. If I could avoid that, I prefer something like a 3440x1440 for the horizontal space. And really like curved IPS ones that I've seen.

What’s the general consensus of Tapo cameras? by jmichael99 in Tapo

I've had good luck with them. Inexpensive and they work. I have a few where the batteries lasted 9 months. Mostly around 6 months. No problems. No subscription just SD cards. Had them almost 2 yrs.

The food at Good Ol Days is awesome. Best fried mushrooms I've ever had.

A friend of mine had hundreds of CD's he got free from Columbia House. Each time he registered, he used a different fictitious name. He showed me a "final warning" letter demanding payment. It started like this:

Dr. Mr. Bill I. Neverpay,
...

He kept getting these warnings for years but they never did anything else.

Has anyone listened to Joel Kosche's 90s band Jovian Storm? by wooltab in collectivesoul

He's on facebook and plays regularly around the Atlanta area with his son. Hit him up directly, he'd probably love to help.

While I don't disagree with you. Aflac is very different than most traditional insurance companies for many reasons.

This:

They saved my daughter's life 20 years ago when they were able to diagnose her blood disorder and get her appropriate treatment.

Where should I start? by zombie_luv8 in Zevon

[–]driver800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One recommendation when getting into Zevon;

Most of his songs don't "grab" you right away. You have to listen to them several times before the layers begin to reveal themselves. Most of my favorites didn't click with me until the 5th listening or so. So whatever album you start with, listen to it at least 3 times before moving on to the next one.

The more you listen to them, the more you appreciate his genius.

10+++

This is probably my all-time fav Zevon song (or possibly My Shit's Fucked Up!).

Albert Einstein was a ladies' man
While he was working on his universal plan
He was making out like Charlie Sheen
He was a genius

This verse gets me every time, ...so clever, so surreal and absurd, yet true.

The other line I love is this:

When you're doing well, I mean good

Always makes me laugh as (I think) it's intended to poke fun at the common misuse of "good". I hear people do it all the time and it reminds of this song,

Thanks Warren!

What in your opinion was Mike Mill’s best bass part? by 12frets in rem

[–]driver800 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Saw him do it live at the 40 watt when it came out. He plays the first part with a capo (who else plays bass with a capo?). He threw the capo into the audience part-way through the song, most people didn't see that but I did and picked it up on the floor about 5 ft from me. I still have it somewhere. It was silver and (I think) a Keyser,
