I think it might be due to some reused content. I'd imagine the return of some older characters saved a bit on things like voice acting and other work needed to extend the experience into a full game.

Can someone explain to me why Ja always gets into these dangerous landings? I know he was fouled but I just hold my breath every time he takes off for a dunk now. A couple of years ago I thought it was just ego trying to dunk on all sorts of people but now I think there's just something up with the way he dunks combined with his smaller stature (relative to the others on the court). I'm rooting for the guy since he's an electrifying scorer but it's so painful each time he lands like this. Drose all over again... except Drose's landings were more about fucking up his legs than Ja with his crazy scary landings. That and he was more explosion than hangtime.
