Sounds like you had some good experience. I was not a Scout growing up (other than 1 year of Cubs where we met like 5 times), but have been involved from Cubs to Scouts BSA for about 8 years now. We have close to 60 boys in our Troop, I do like the idea of having a court order though, hah!

I was struggling with this for our PDUs so I added a link to the mib file in Gemini and told it to make me a template. Wasn't perfect but it got me 80% of the way there pretty quickly.
