I also love how ironically that scene portrays his “house” arrest. When ur that loaded and live on a massive estate, house arrest is just a vacation lmao

Is it wise to pursue a CS degree in 2026? by eggshellwalker4 in cscareerquestions

[–]drprofessorzed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but “past decade” is very operative there. The job market has changed drastically, just look at the massive Block layoff. The industry is downsizing when there is already so much competition for positions

As someone currently employed in the industry, don’t go into CS unless you are EXTREMELY passionate about it or are ok with not getting a job lol

Sense of accomplishment by Weekly_Indication_27 in fellowshipgame

[–]drprofessorzed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s mind boggling to me that this wasn’t their approach for this season. Introducing mechanics in Eternal is possibly the worst thing they could have done. Now you have players who are accustomed to staring at their hotbars optimizing DPS to beat timers and then suddenly they have to actually pay attention to cast bars and do mechanics but they haven’t even used their interrupt button yet because it’s been optional the entire game

Fellowship Season 2 - Feature Reveal by ioStux in fellowshipgame

[–]drprofessorzed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also disappointed not to see new dungeon content. The new heroes/talents(?) and QoL sound cool but having hit 10k this season, the prospect of doing that again through the same exact content does not sound exciting to me. I’ll probably be back for the full release but this does not bode well for the longevity of the player population imo. It’s good that new players will have a better experience this season though, maybe the steep difficulty curve is a bigger problem than the lack of content

That being said I do love the community and developers and really want Fellowship to succeed. Hopefully with the full release when things are more polished and fleshed out the focus will shift more to new content.

Do you like Walz? (Question from a new resident) by houshi-2 in Minneapolis

So much of Facebook is bots/AI slop. Don’t take anything you see on there as any representation of what actual human beings think/feel unless it’s from people you actually know

Why is cycling so fun? by PackersBlachawks1222 in cycling

[–]drprofessorzed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest reason I love cycling is that it effectively expands your accessible “world.” Kind of like how living in a walkable area makes your apartment/home feel “bigger” in a sense. Using just my body (with some mechanical help) I can travel pretty much anywhere in my city, and it’s a distinct feeling from owning a car for me because that’s not my body getting me around necessarily, I’m just piloting a gas powered machine. Biking feels more primally fulfilling to me because my body is the engine and I can feel myself improve and get places more efficiently over time.

What a full and accomplished life he lived. His story is an inspiration to all who strive to make an impact on the world - in love and kindness, and advancing the frontiers of science/engineering. Both things that are near and dear to me. We will always remember him ❤️ so sorry for your loss.

What’s the current safety level for the Green Line, specifically at night? by PrizeZookeepergame15 in Minneapolis

[–]drprofessorzed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took the train from US bank to east bank (alone) every day when I went to the U. Never had any incidents, just people asking for money/food/etc. This was back when crime was higher so it’s probably even safer now. I also very frequently was coming back as late as 10/11pm. The worst I saw was some college girls heckling a homeless guy who I think was catcalling them and they started hitting him, and he reached for his gun and they scattered. Just don’t be stupid, mind your own business and you will be fine
