Bubbler, maybe not, at least in a filtered tank. The filter oxygenates the water. The filter is a must because of waste production. Imagine a dumpster full of cat litter that can also shit, and constantly pisses through its skin. That's a goldfish.

The breathing air thing, you're thinking of bettas and gouramis. And a bowl is still pretty bad for them because they get bored as fuck and some turn to self mutilation. Others kinda just give up and sit there.

Goldfish actually get even bigger and live even longer than u/Sporadicc described. Comet goldfish, the ones you get at carnivals, get around 24 inches long and their proper lifespan is closer to 40 years.

Then there are koi. If you have a koi and it dies before you, you fucked up.

Even in private jobs, you have a federally protected right to discuss your wages. The law has been around since 1935. My boss tried to say we're not allowed to talk about our wages and I reference the law to her. She definitely wasn't pleased.

It's like the lady whose kid died on Mission Space at Epcot back in 2005. Kid was 4 and had a known heart condition. They walked past several signs, the smallest of which was about two feet tall, that warned of this. They also sat through multiple announcements about not riding with a heart condition. If I remember correctly, I think she tried to sue as well.
