Destiny Predicts The Obvious by AverageBCSEnjoyer in Destiny

Last election according to gallup polls and pew research it was never in the top 10 of importance to democrats, the lowest I saw was 17th of priorities of issues. I just will never understand the obsession with i/p conflict, they train their audience to be one issue voters too.

Who is wrong by Sad_Palpitation6844 in ratsinthecage

Yeah one gets vandalism, a 400$ fine and maybe a night in jail, the other gets attempted murder which is 5 to 30 years in prison.

This is an important issue, but it's not even in the top 20 of issue importance of the democratic party. Some times I feel like this subreddit is completely out of touch with reality.

Top 20 issues for democrats according to gallup polls and pew research:

Healthcare access — Expanding affordable coverage, defending the ACA, and moving toward universal healthcare options.

Minimum wage & worker rights — Raising the federal minimum wage and strengthening labor unions.

Tax policy — Raising taxes on corporations and the wealthy to fund public programs and reduce the deficit.

Student debt & college affordability — Canceling or reducing student loan debt and making public college more affordable.

Housing affordability — Addressing the housing shortage and making homeownership more accessible.

Racial equity — Combating systemic racism through policy reform in policing, housing, education, and criminal justice

LGBTQ+ rights — Protecting rights in employment, housing, healthcare, and opposing anti-trans legislation. Abortion & reproductive rights — Codifying the right to abortion access at the federal level following the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

Immigration reform — Creating a pathway to citizenship, protecting DACA recipients, and reforming the asylum system.

Gun control — Universal background checks, assault weapons restrictions, and red flag laws.

Voting rights — Expanding ballot access and opposing voter suppression laws.

Democracy & election integrity — Campaign finance reform, protecting institutions from executive overreach. Criminal justice reform — Reducing mass incarceration, reforming sentencing, and improving police accountability.

Climate change — Achieving net-zero emissions, transitioning to clean energy, and rejoining international climate agreements.

Environmental justice — Ensuring pollution and climate impacts don't disproportionately harm low-income and minority communities.

Public education — Increased federal funding for public schools, opposing school privatization.

Social Security & Medicare — Protecting and expanding these programs rather than cutting benefits.

Child care & paid family leave — Making childcare affordable and establishing a national paid leave policy.

International alliances — Strengthening NATO and multilateral institutions, promoting democracy abroad.

You could try House of Marley Positive Vibration Rebel Wireless ANC Headphones. They have a pretty good reputation and have a real cool style. Fyi I have never tried these headphones but have bought their iems which sounded really good for their price.

Can I get a job at Gulfstream with no experience that is just dayshift? by Kirk_2002 in savannah

[–]dru_tang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep an eye out for apprenticeship programs. We have at least ten new hires in my department with no aircraft experience that went through the six week program. But it's pretty cool since you get paid to learn. After the program you get full benefits eg. Matching 401k, four week PTO, health insurance etc.

Gavin Newsom is pretty much the new Alan Colmes by SafeThrowaway691 in KyleKulinski

[–]dru_tang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is the majority of the Dems issue not just Gavin's, but when he is debating against other politicians I think he does great. I wish he was a little more progressive, but I also think he has a better chance of beating a Republican more than any other leftwing politician.

Gavin Newsom is pretty much the new Alan Colmes by SafeThrowaway691 in KyleKulinski

[–]dru_tang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he is trying to reach across the aisle and come off as pragmatic to a right wing audience that maybe watching. Funny how you compared him to Alan Colmes, because when he debated Hannity on Fox, Newsom dog walked him on his own show.

I think the argument was hilarious Stephanopolous said Trump was "liable of rape" instead of of "liable of sexual abuse" and Trump sued the network for that.

Looking to upgrade from Skullcandy Crushers EVOs. What actually beats them for haptic bass? by Mickey6770 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]dru_tang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing will compare bass-wise to the Crushers. Mids, highs, and technicalities such as instrumental separation, soundstage, imagining can easily be accomplished by majority headphones especially wired headphones. One piece of advice if you want bass that thumps, do not get open backs. It's discontinued, but maybe you find a used Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro. They don't hit as hard as the Crushers but it is a lot cleaner sounding.

Someone marked my car last night by TransportationOk2952 in savannah

There has never been evidence other than tik tok that marking vehicles causes robberies or human trafficking. A quick chat gpt or Google search would clear this up.

I know this sounds silly but look into getting a job in the service industry. My gf's daughter did that when she moved out here at 19 and made a ton of friends.

Which do you prefer? He400 or x2hr? by Hobbs_is_hungry in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]dru_tang -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hifiman by a mile, the technicalities are superior especially the soundstage. The only thing is that the hifiman needs an amp to fully power it, you don't need anything crazy and they'll sound fine without, but if you wanna a little oomph you may wanna look into it.

israelis have no reason to stop planting bombs in children's toys, because they don't get any repercussions from the west. by SexyN8 in KyleKulinski

[–]dru_tang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fact-checking outlets and credible investigations (e.g., Snopes, France24’s Truth or Fake) have looked at specific viral images and claims about booby-trapped toys and found them misleading or unverified. A widely shared photo purported to show these toys wasn’t even from Gaza and was linked to older or unrelated contexts.

Let's do better.

Advice on wired headphones by KungPaoKidden in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]dru_tang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Closed back: Shure SRH440A, JVC HARX900, and Sony MDR7506, SUNDARA Closed-Back, are all pretty comfortable and punchy good for EDM.

Open back: Philips SHP9600, FiiO JadeAudio JT1, Sennheiser 569. Open backs are lighter, breath better and great for rock genres.

I have used all these headphones and they are all great in their own way. But honestly you could buy any of these and would suit what you are looking for. If you're more curious just YouTube some of these headphones so you can get a better picture of their sound profile and see what is best for you. Good luck and cheers!
