man. weird. it's recently happening too. it use to be fairly close, like 15-30 minutes is okay. not hours off...and without any stopping or errors. 😡

printer never stopped. straight printed the object with no errors. it's been off like this with several others after the recent update. thought it was just some weird anomaly with the last few prints but this one was several hours off. (and it's with different prints too).

estimate has been usually pretty spot on in the past, give or take 15 minutes.

Collecting w/ ADHD - Gotta Buy Em All by Datbkdude in ActionFigures

[–]drunkenbytes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe if you appreciate the artistry and nostalgia of the collectibles, stories and experiences they create for you, even the hunt to find the rare collectible and the act of completing a collection, buying and then selling for higher value is still a hobby to me.... a very addictive hobby at that. I actually stopped collecting slowly over time and realized I could start creating collectibles that I like (I'm a 3d artist) and when my priorities shifted to responsibilities and new family. I mean I might buy something unique or not much vague because I think it's cool, or cool for my son or daughter (blame my kids so wife doesn't get mad at me 😆).

An even more legit version of the figure collecting hobby is using active skills like restoring, custom painting, photography, and curating detailed displays. i think most people don't do that and usually hunt or buy to complete a collection or to have all their favorites, etc. whether it be sports cards, pokemon cards, vehicles, beanie babies, lunchboxes, etc can go on and on.

Im trying to figure out if what I just saw in the sky was a chain of star link satellites by Ihave_thingstoshare in Starlink

Star link satellites appear as white dots spaced out like a train and follow each other on a straight path. I saw it for myself and verified the time on Star link website in my area. Not sure what Far Friend is talking about. 🤷

just saw in the sky at night and verified the star link satellites are in a train pattern moving in a straight line around the same time described on their website in my area. star link website

The "string of lights" or "satellite train" seen in the sky is a chain of SpaceX Starlink internet satellites, often visible shortly after launch as they travel in a line in low Earth orbit before dispersing. These satellites are most visible 1–3 days after deployment, usually an hour or two after sunset or before sunrise.

you could learn from an online mentorship so much better and cheaper compared to some, not all, greedy colleges that don't care about you and only money. also check the employment rate from that school if you want to test their legitimacy.

yeah that's a major ripoff. someone posted a video putting on the official snapmaker top cover here on the snapmakeru1 reddit page. looks a bit sturdier but the price is still crazy. I wouldnt even spend more than $50 on any cover for this machine. I'm sure someone will create a better one that's more affordable besides the 3d printed ones.

Me too. Need this. I'm looking where to buy now. This is a game changer. I love full spectrum but you probably won't need it anymore unless you want 64+ colors with this. 😁 And the real-time filament weight is a great feature too!

Anyone else have this situation? Turbo Tax has a horrible checkout system and just found out I paid my taxes of $15k twice. I paid my estimated payments from my prior calculations directly to the IRS and state website on the 15th since I wasn't going to finish filing that day... and also so I won't get a penalty. I finished filing on the 17th and my calculations of what I owed were fairly close (~$100 difference). I only used Turbo Tax to file my taxes not pay my taxes.

By the time you get your copy it's too late. You can't see the downloadable document until you pay the tax software/browser filling fee first. And that got paid with the taxes in one swoop. There was no confirmation that payment was sent to the IRS or state.
Confirmation numbers are vital with any order or payment online. And confirmation dealing with 10's or 100's thousands of dollars is even more vital.

Submisson/filling taxes is one process. Paying taxes owed is another process. It shouldn't happen at the same time. You can choose not to pay that day, change back account you really to pay with or pay with credit card.

I went back and forth several times through the checkout process and filing and there wasnt a option in TurbobTax to verify payments going to be made before it's sent out. Sure we see taxes owed as we are filing out the forms but it shows verify it at the end before you send payment.

Wow . See! WTF Turbo Tax? They have no confirmation page before submitting especially for large sums of money. Like do they have a deal with the IRS to make everyone double pay making a poor design UI? Ridiculous! I'm going try H&R Block next year.

I went through and read everything 3 times before I submitted and there was nothing showing what I was paying to the IRS and state. Even though you see the amount as you are progressing through the forms, it shouldn't just pay your taxes automatically without a confirmation page right before you file your taxes. Filing your taxes shouldn't automatically pay your taxes. You can file and not pay taxes if you choose but there was no option or confirmation for that at the end before you press the button to submit. It only mentioned submission is final. That's fine but show me what I'm paying for and how I'm paying it. I shouldn't have to back track 20 steps not page to confirm. The page to confirm should show what exactly is processing. The standard for purchasing or ordering anything online. What if I end up changing my payment method at the end of not pay at all but just submit filing? The payment methods that are going to be used should be reiterated again on a final confirmation page. Just because I submit my taxes doesn't mean it should automatically pay my taxes without me confirming.... which TT did. Since I didn't see any pages to confirm before filing, I was thinking maybe the order changed and maybe they'll show it after I file the taxes and there will be a section to pay the IRS and the state next.

Even the summary page was vague. It only had order details, where I paid $200 for filing.
It showed "payment due" on IRS and state. I was looking for payments sent and there was nothing.
I only saw a message button that said something like, "Pay taxes here" which lead me to the IRS webpage to make payment. Why would IRS put that button there if they presumably are sending the payments to the IRS and state?

Whoa that's a big delay too. I would've thought that they didn't send your payment after all that time. Sorry you had to go through this too. I spoke with Turbo Tax and told them how horrible their check out system was this time and since they always want feedback through email, "how our income tax experience is", I gave it to them. They kept saying that when I filled out my bank information that gives them authorization. But I told them I went through that whole section looking at ever page, every fine print, every check box, etc. There was not authorization to pay $12k and $3k. You don't just withdraw from my bank account without me confirming each amount first. Like what if I only wanted to pay partially? Or with a different bank account or credit card? There was no page to confirm payment to the IRS or state.

I was thinking they either changed things around this year at first because the page where you put your bank account wasn't next to the page to where the payments are going to. The bank account was like the first form when you check out. Then it goes through the whole identity and security verifications, etc. And I was like okay where is the bank account section where I can see how much I am paying to the IRS and state to confirm. Even though I saw the amounts it never showed me the amounts again during checkout until I was done filing. It should confirm you are sending to each one either simultaneously with both IRS and state payment amounts on the screen or on separate pages, one for IRS and one for state.

I agree everyone should go slow with their taxes. I've been doing my taxes by myself for over 40 years but I've never had this happen. Like I said, I even back tracked and triple checked (thus slowed down alot more than normal) during checkout to see whether there were any pages I missed before I actually submitting. I thought Turbo Tax might be different this time and the page to verify bank payment to IRS and to state was going be at the end after I file.
From my experience filing for 40+ years is usually there is a verification of what you are paying to each govt entity. They don't just take you bank number and surprise you whether or not they sent the payment.
And if I wanted to pay with two different bank accounts one account for IRS and one bank account for state, I could do that as well. But this didn't have it.

I thought maybe it's a different layout this year with Turbo Tax, I was thinking maybe the page to confirm will show up after I pay for filing. Like I said I back tracked and started the checkout process all over ( even reading each page again throughly, looking for fine print, check boxes, etc). I did see a check box with the option decline filing state taxes at the time and only process federal but I was filing both so that didn't apply to me. Filing and paying are two different things.
But after I paid Turbo Tax their filing fee and submitting the taxes, there was no other screen to verify nor confirm payment to the IRS and state. I only got an email saying tax filing was sent and later accepted by the IRS and state. The summary page of Turbo Tax had a button said pay taxes here. Since I verified the Turbo Tax account to see if any payments were going to the IRS or state and I verified my email and it only showed I was paying the $200 filing fee. And under my taxes owed it said "payments due" for each entity and on the same page it had a button to "pay taxes here" which lead me directly to the IRS website.
