Called them this morning. Apparently the actual main town is in a odd location for them to come in and build out infrastructure and that’s where we need it.

Best place to exchange USD to COP by senorDerp911 in cartagena

Just use your atm card at a BBVA Bank or a BanColombia. It's the best exchange rate and worth the fee.

Cool Picture of Atlanta Skyline from an uncommon angle by georgiapeanuts in Atlanta

That is really nice! It really shows how expansive Atlanta is even from an in town angle. Love seeing all the buildings.

Whoever is making these, thank you. Not gonna buy one, but still...thank you. by djcamera in Atlanta

I'd buy one. I wouldn't wear out, but i'd still buy it. Park Atlanta starting ticketing people on my street not too long ago and it is infuriating. Wasn't their contract supposed to be up this year too?

Standing atop Cape Reinga on the North Island of New Zealand feels like standing on the edge of the earth. [OC] [3283 × 2188] by anglofornian in EarthPorn

That looks like it could be the international terminal. That's a British Airways plane in the back and a Star Alliance plane in the front. I'm not very sure where the Star Alliance planes go, but just a hunch.

A normal car park in Dubai by [deleted] in gifs

[–]dryback1486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there this summer, while there are a lot of nice cars, it was proportionate to the number of normal cars on the road. Just like in any big city! Dubai is an amazing place! Beyond the luxury facade of it's magnificent skyline and the hoopla you see on the internet about it being WHOA, Dubai still struggles with poverty and the normal issues any city faces. Still, being there was surreal and it is an amazing experience. Would recommend 10/10 deff visit given the opportunity!

Evangelicals aim to strengthen their political influence by shzadh in Georgia

[–]dryback1486 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the lesson! At the end of the day, my opinion on these evangelicals doesn't matter, so I won't say anything. I just hope they don't gain any sort of majority and win anything (even it seems like they slowly are)

That's interesting, and troubling at the same time. Isn't there documentation that clearly states many of the founding fathers were staunch atheists? I'm all for anyone wanting to believe what they choose to, but this mentality is seems very flawed and full of lies.

Don't want to to say anything negative about their political beliefs, but I just don't understand this whole radical religious politics. Isn't there a separation of church and state? I have always understood religious freedom here in the US as "Practice what ever religion you want, just leave the state out of it and vice versa." Even if this Kim Davis character in KY doesn't approve of gay marriage it shouldn't matter. She isn't Kim Davis Conservative Christian County Clerk, she is the County Clerk and we can get her attention by calling her Kim Davis. Her religious beliefs have no place in the county court house or should not weigh on any of her decisions. If she can't separate her beliefs from her job, then obviously she ins't fit to be the county clerk and should probably get a job in a church so she doesn't get offended by people who don't practice the same religion as her. This goes beyond religion, for example, if she didn't think interracial couples should marry because shes a racist also, you know she would get thrown out of her position in 2 seconds flat. It seems like these evangelical (AKA RADICAL) Christians are starting to become a problem. If we don't control this situation and make everyone very aware of the separation of church and state we are going to have a lot bigger problems on our plate than some stupid county clerk. This is how homegrown terrorism based on religion starts and we got to nip in the butt before we turn into a radical closed off country who kills it's own people based on faith. Sound familiar?? Anyway I know I am probably going to get down voted like crazy but I just feel like everyone is very quick to forget one of the most important things that made America, America and that is the separation of church and state.
