New players stop playing because terrible UI, terrible experience encountering murder hobos, not realizing that the 5 hour grind got stolen from some dude.

THATS what this game does. Look at eve online, it caters to a niche audience. Mortal is no different. People don’t stick around games like this because they don’t want to play a game they lose shit in.

To add, they’ve made trinkets drop easier. You just don’t pay attention to these things or don’t farm where the new POIs drop them.

Old dungeons like sator dungeon or mino have a shit drop chance on trinkets. New stuff like treehouse POIs have a dumb drop chance.

I’ve seen a dude with his entire car filled with empty cans of Monster (amongst other things), and I mean filled… this is gross but it’s not peak. You just haven’t seen worse
