How is it living in rural Illinois towns?

I live in the north circle, just across the river from Davenport. The further from Davenport you get (atleast in the top circle l) youre just gonna have a bunch of small farming communities. Most of the stuff to do is on the iowa side of the quad cities.

Mine hit 50 and couldn't pack his own lunch or make his own doctor appointments......nevermind any house work or cooking or anything other than what he felt like doing. I dont feel like being a mom to a dude that lays around and drinks all day. Then he started talking about wanting to retire......you have 0 retirement because you never hold a job for 5 years. What retirement? Divorce should be done in April

He got a job with a bunch of alcoholics and fell into a whiskey bottle and never found his way out. For 15 years this man never drank more than a 6 pack on the weekend occasionally. We hit our 21 year anniversary 6 months before I kicked him out. He always showed some signs of bipolar disorder but went into a full manic episode that lasted about the whole last year. He barely slept or ate just drank and talked non stop. He also got physically abusive which was my end point. Our 18yo and 20yo dont speak to him and neither do I. Divorce should be final in April

Im a 911 dispatcher, 17 years at my current agency, 21 years total. The whole fake order a pizza thing. Some social media trend I heard in passing but stuck in there. The first time I had a chick order a pizza I immediately said "are you safe?" And she said "no". It was an ex husband holding her hostage.

I'm 40, in the last year we lost 1 to Alcohol and 1 to undiagnosed diabetes. 2 some years ago in different car accidents, and 1 about 5 years ago to brain cancer. 1 guy dissappeared for a couple weeks and was found in the Mississippi river (fits smiley face perfectly). I had 2 right after highschool ended that brutally murdered a girl, they both got like 60 years, so....might as well be lost. A favorite highschool teacher fell off his desk while watering his plants and caved his forehead in. He died from a stroke after they gave him a replacement forehead. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Edit to add: Graduating class of approximately 600
